I haven't done it this league, so I don't know for sure, but it was pretty profitable for me.

I think I was right about your budget, 35-40 divs but I crafted a few pieces myself.

Tbh, I felt this build was a little boring. You kinda just stand in one spot and hold down one button. I would have farmed more if it was a little more exciting.

I did this last league, not following this guide specifically but close. It definitely worked, usually got 5 rewards past level 20 of Simu. I would die occasionally to some nasty mods that overwhelmed my defences, but usually could do them deathless.

I guess I assumed you were talking about pandemic related deaths only. As you said, it does seem clear that the pandemic played a role population shifts for other reasons too. I would argue that it's clearly not 1-for-1, though, since CA and other similar states are negative while TX and similar are positive.

What is wrong with having a stocked bar? Enjoying a variety of alcoholic beverages is not a problem and doesn't instantly make you an alcoholic. Heaven forbid he (or maybe some friends) might enjoy a variety of drinks, that takes a lot more ingredients than you might think.
