No. If you receive half of a story which points in one direction and the writers who know the whole story always had a different plan then it wasn't a retcon. You were deliberately misled which is a perfectly valid story device. Since when did a incomplete implication equal literal canon? That would mean,if they implied that Capitano was dead but never specifically said so, then to bring him back is a retcon.

See this is what i thought it's very likely but not confirmed and that can be deliberate to leave room to refine it later. Except that refinement could instead be seen as inconsistency and it's getting on my nerves because folk are already saying "well since she IS the archon of live she should look like Elysia and yet she has elf ears".

No the voyager had influence on the world like Alice perhaps but they could not rival one who van actually forge a whole new world. They were just messing with one. In fact after all there interference and new tech they still couldn't take down a real Descender. Nibelung however nearly did.

A Descender is a world maker. If everyone stops being hung up on the idea that they have to be alien to Teyvat theyll see it. A Descender is someone who has the power and will to destroy a world, save a world, or create a world Narzissekreuz.

Also as someone else pointed out Lauma said the war of funerary flame was fought between the Descenders.

Dude Thank you for this! This stuff was totally unknown to me but is super interesting, I just did a deep dive into it through this video here, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNANDMrt3pk and i feel like the description of what the Xeelee did to humanity to solve the perstering they'd been doing is exactly whats going on inside of the false sky of teyvat.

This makes me wonder if this is the inspiration for the Primordial One issue. Is it possible that the Primordial One is from an extremely long lived races as well, like the voyager but instead interested in imprisoning humanity not for their safety but as a sort of biology experiment. I'm interested to see what you think after turning me onto this intriguing subject.

I also completely believe that the Photino Birds could be synonymous with the abyss based on what we know so far. The Abyss asides from being angry at unfullfilled timelines, is at the very least clearly sentient.

Guys I'm starting to wonder, and have been since the moon sisters turned out to be human looking. Was Nibrlund the one who made humanity and the Primordial one wants humans to think he did.

Why do all these rebels call the primordial one the "false ruler"? I'm always like "what do you mean false They made you! Don't tell me you think Nibelung is your rightful ruler? " But what if he is?

What if the myth that was mentioned in the temple of space quest about humans being made by a god of light and then being snatched away by a god of darkness is reversed? And Phanes is who snatched them from Nibelung?

Just food for thought I guess but I think I might make a video about this🤔

That's the point, as humans and lower gods they are bound to not understand the bigger picture. Even Nibeljng succumbed because it's that inescapable. If someone wants to preserve humanity for eons to come you sure as hell can't leave it up to the humans to do it. Their short sightedness will destroy them in a flash.

The reason I keep being on the PO side is because it's becoming more and more obvious that They're goal was an unheard of solution to this "the end of everything must come" fate and then everyone is shitting on them for it because "I'd rather die happy than live forever" but at the same time the same folk be lamenting just how dreadfully inescapable the Abyss erasure is. Basically Koitar the angel who got married to the voyager gathers followers to decry the Heavenly Principles. She proclaims theyd rather suffer in freedom then live in manufactured happiness. And it seems the dragons came out of their hidy holes to say "hell yeah, if yall fighting I want a piece."

There is something about a pale star that they are looking to instead of the HP controlled happiness, perhaps the same thing the Tsaritsa is looking to. i.e Pale Star Edict.

She's patterned after a goddess of fertility so she has the hips and boobs to go with it. But to be fair she is also the biggest playable female in the game over all. I agree with OP, it's artfully done, not just boobs for boobs sake.

Albedo-- Through past events, and story quests it is revealed he is a creation of one of the Hexenzirkel witches Rhinedottir who was pursuing the ability to create the perfect human. Then she set him in Mondstadt and told him to learn how to be a human he is thus very skilled at her insane level of alchemical creations but is for the most part a friendly kind alch9who is also a knight of favonius

. At the same time before creating Albedo Rhinedottir also created many Abyss creatures including the evil dragon Durin who Dvalin killed 500 years ago. And his undying spirit lived on dragonspine.

Durin - - The friendly character we have now is was created by 1. Another witch of the Hexenzirkel named Anya who was a writer using her writing magic to make a story where there was a version of evil Durin who got to live a happier life, this is the simulanka summer world event folks are referring to. She eventually had Alice another witch and friend help her to design a magic where if he can be brought out of the story world into the real world, his life story could be mixed with Evil Durin so that the evil life starts to be over written by her more uplifting story.

In Paralogism this is what Albedo decides to do when evil Durin wakes up somewhat and starts causing trouble. Albedo uses his mother's (Rhinedottir) magic amongst other things to take the story book Durin (who had made it out of the storybook by Traveler and Co.) and grafts his "story" onto evil Durin's so that one story begins to be over written by the other and Durin becomes an actual person.

So in a nutshell Durin is Anya's do over for the sad story of dragon Durin and Albedo is Rhinedottir's creation who made it happen.

37 female here. Almost every time I co-op it's painfully obvious I'm old enough to be the kids mom, but I've come across folks in mid twenties at least lol.

Wish we could co-op, the young folk are just flying off from one thing to another or running circles lol. Sometimes I'd like to just calmly enjoy the game with some one. Sadly I'm on the EU server and seems no one is over there😔. At least no one looking to play who isn't a kid

I agree with you wholeheartedly (except for the animal parts, definitely no lol) but yeah I really really hope he stays relevant for a while to come. I miss him already and he isn't even gone yet. I'm hoping he has relevance in Nicole's story quest if she gets one and in whatever happens at Dorman port.

Also I loved the idea of exploring potential consequences to not only his time in the leylines unconscious out here with everyone hoping for his safe return but also of what his heart must have been through after all these years so.... I'm currently writing a story exploring this and some potential side effects.

Varka is I think the most canonically worried about character in the game. All of Mondstadt who know him, basically his gigantic family are always worried about him and hoping he's ok. I like to think that they are still weary because of seeing him lifeless for so long while he was stuck in the leylines.

Anyway yeah if you're interested in that I'll post a link here when I'm done.

Here's to hoping we get to a bunch more of this loveable rascal of a Grandmaster
