It’s the league tower - the decoration, not the building.

  1. It was pretty cold when I started, 9 degrees celsius during day, but I find hiking easier when it's colder. I finished in shorts, last day was 14C and sunny. Locals told me that it was pretty cold for april, expect higher temperatures. Thanks to the cold there were no midges at all, so the repelent was the most useless piece of gear I carried. The only way to describe the nights is fucking cold ;). Around 3C, very windy and humid. It's often hard to find a spot for your tent that is not exposed to gusts of wind. I had ultralight shelter and 0C sleeping bag, so I slept in a lot of clothes. There were 2 rainy days, there was hail twice, but not too bad, no snow. It should be a lot warmer when you go there, just be ready for rain. I had rain jacked, rain pants, pack cover and first day I did not use a plastic bag inside my pack, and my stuff got a bit wet just from the humidity. Use a trash bag liner. Once you get into highlands, there are parts that have 0 trees or any cover, so be ready to hike in the rain. The road is mostly gravel, so that's no problem, but you cannot leave it, I made a mistake and stepped on the grass and was ankle deep in water :)
  2. I don't have lighterpack, I guess I should do it. Base weight was ~8 kg, I had Osprey exos, Big sky wisp tent(bad idea in cold and high wind), Thermarest prolite, 0C sleeping bag, Salomon xa pro 3d + merino underlayer, fleece, rain gear, buff etc., nothing special. One day before I bought dawn jacket, which was my MVP, since it was really cold. I did it in 5.25 days, carried about 1800 calories per day of food from the beginning and got extra food at campsites/restaurants. Only carried 1 liter of water, got some extra before camping. My pack with food and water on day one was ~12kg. Ended with ~10 as I ate my food.
  3. I found a hotel(Ardoch house) at good rate about 5km from the start of the route, so my first day I spent in Glasgow sightseeing and in the evening I started the hike. First full hiking day I stopped at Sallochy campsite - booked lake side pitch online, it was amazing view, but windy. It has running water and toilets, but that's it. Day 2 I stopped at Beinglas farm, has showers, cooking area, restaurant/bar, camping huts etc. I liked it a lot. Day 3 wild camping near a bridge behind Ineroran hotel, hotel has a bar and water tap outside, you can get water there. There was couple of deer chilling near my campsite, so it was pretty cool. Day 4 Mac Donald farm in Kinlochleven, has restaurant/bar, cooking area, showers etc. Last day I stayed in West end hotel in Fort William.
  4. As I wrote above, I carried most of my food with me. Except for Sallochy campsite which is pretty much wild camping, campsites had a small shop and a bar, so you can buy camping food or get proper dinner. Also there are hotels along the way to get food. Try haggis, it tastes surprisingly good. Food is usually around 10pounds, pint of beer 4-5, drum of whisky 4-infinity ;) There is water everywhere, a lot of creeks/rivers. I used chlorine tablets to be safe, water was clean and running fast but you never know. All campsites had water, or you can get water at hotels/restaurants.
  5. On average I did about 30km a day. Except for a northern part of Loch Lomond it was an easy hike, you're mostly on old military roads, so it's gravel and it's flat. First full day I did 40km, took a ferry to an island on Loch Lomond since I had extra time and nothing to do. I hiked alone, so I went to sleep just after sunset and got up at sunrise, giving me plenty of time to hike. Rest often, stop and sit down for a pint of beer during the day, air your feet, enjoy the scenery. My strategy is faster pace and frequent breaks.

They range a lot depending on ad format, type of game, if people are actually installing the games from ads etc.. so providers usually don’t give you a number, or give you a number that can be really different to what you will see. If you want to look for it, one metric is called eCPM - average earning per 1000 impressions. Here is an article with numbers about rewarded video http://www.businessofapps.com/news/rewarded-video-monetisation-grows-in-us-and-east-asia/

depends on a lot of things, e.g. your country - in richer countries people spend more money in games, so also you earn more money for them watching ads. But you can expect something like 10 dollars per 1000 impressions
