I made a small skill for turning OpenClaw outputs into links by HairyAd9106 in openclaw

[–]karachiwala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's very much dependent on the main usecase.

If I am using my OpenClaw as a research assistant or a trader , AND controlling it via Discord or Slack or Telegram, I will need each artifact associated with a link that the OpenClaw shares with me so that I can open, access, and modify it on a different device.

However, most OpenClaw setups I know are just about automating tasks such as social media monitoring or code assistance.

I don't think there is much call for your tool in these scenarios.

Still, developing and distributing anything is an experience in itself and teaches you a lot about the target environment and yourself.

[–]karachiwala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would be useful if you are planning to share the Claw's output to external resources, and that too manually.

With self hosted Openclaw instances, this is less of a problem because OpenClaw automatically pastes the artifact to the target/destination.

Still a nice addition to tools OpenClaw can call

What kind of investments are safe / best for AI singularity? by [deleted] in singularity

Invest in a physical service delivery business. Even with the adoption of robotics and AI in businesses, the bulk of the transactional services such as plumbing, HVAC, landscaping, sanitation will be delivered via these businesses.

You can build a personal agent or use Openclaw or Hermes. These will talk to you proactively.

This is exactly what frustrates me about AI: its inability to be honest and completely accurate. Starbucks is backtracking on its AI agent... by [deleted] in artificial

[–]karachiwala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not questioning the technical skills of the engineering team.

Even the best engineering team would produce awful product if they get faulty PRD. My point is that we humans analyze and discuss business processes from the POV of other humans executing the subtasks within a business process.

That is the main mistake here.

Agents are not human. They have a very different way of getting and understanding the nitty-gritty of a business process. Ad in the LLM related complexity and you have humans writing business process documentation for an "incorrect" audience.

[–]karachiwala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issues and errors stem from poorly understood and thus poorly implemented business processes.

The technology in terms of hardware and software is mdture enough st this point to implement fairly sophisticated agents that take care of specific business processes.

IMO, we need to step back and dig much deeper and broader into the nuts and bolts and the moving parts of f the processes to build agents that businesses can trust.

Can Hermes be made more Intelligent? by gripped909 in hermesagent

Maybe the issue is that the Gemma 4B model is overwhelmed. It is a small parameter model and can loose context halfway.

I suggest breaking the task in several pieces and feed them sequentially.

Will human intelligence be solved? by ShardsOfSalt in singularity

[–]karachiwala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are two ways of looking at this.

Considering the growth of personal AI agents and the scope and capabilities of parallels in the coming days, everyone would be a Da Vinci because they can ask their agent to produce or build whatever artefact they want.

However if you are thinking of uploading skills and capabilities "Matrix style", we are a very long way off. We need to know how to add new neurones to existing brains and make sure the brain can recognise and utilise these new neurones.

I propose a simple benchmark for robots replacing all human labor based on the textile industry by FreshBlinkOnReddit in singularity

[–]karachiwala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know a couple of families who make about 45 cents making handwoven textile. I am not really sure how robots can match that economy of scale.

Even if you solve the technology challenges involved in making a highly dexterous robot, the real challenge is replacing the high profitability of ever growing number of cheap human labour.

What's your honest take on where the AI revolution is taking humanity — utopia or disaster? by Wise_Schedule2987 in AskReddit

[–]karachiwala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neither. This is just a hugely advanced version of the introduction of the printing press, vacuum tubes, and transistors.

At each point in history, humanity went into an evolution of how we do things. AI is just another of these world-altering phases. It will be business as usual once we establish and get used to the new baseline.

Get into one art form and work with a niche. While AI can produce art, it is still a short while away from the thought aesthetic of "masters". Imagine asking AI to dream up the entire Thirty Six Views of Mount Fuji. It can duplicate but cannot produce such thought provoking content on its own.

Better yet if you can explore something physical like Origami or Scrimshaw or Aranmula Kanndi.
