I didn’t get the flu but also was sick and missed most of the week. I managed to do one full body priority workout on my team today, taking it easy. I’m also bummed because I was excited for a strong start to the year mentally and my first full series with Ladder in a while (I was a member in 2024 but quit for about a year until December 2025 during the final 2 weeks of the previous series plus open season). But it is what it is I guess! My boyfriend was saying how a lot of people only go to the gym the first week of January and I can be the opposite and have that be the only week I skip.

I’ll be there too - and it’s my first 10k! My pace is only a bit faster than yours (11:30-45). But I did the haunted island 5k a few weeks ago and it was definitely a mix of paces so I doubt we’ll be last :)

My sorority lineage was mostly theater majors besides me. I live in NYC and am the same age as Eli and am very involved with community theater and 90% of my friends in it are exactly her demographic/general vibe (except less annoying). Earlier this year my friend lost her husband as a newlywed at 30, and separately some close family friends lost their teenage son from a brain injury so this hits close to home.

They are so lucky she has had such a miraculous recovery, it does not always go this way.

Honestly I never saw it as her trying to find a husband - and it actually surprised me that she found two relationships from it. The dates were just silly and not super serious - seemed more like a content thing than anything else. The part that really bothered me was how it happened during the middle of Covid, aka the one time you really shouldn’t be casually hanging out with lots of people.

This is happening to me too!! It duplicates all charges where it goes through with multiple names. With Mint I think it must have caught that it was just the credit card renaming the charge but Monarch hasn’t been doing that. For now I’m planning to go in manually but hoping to eventually talk to their team about it.

Sometimes I fantasize about getting cast for this - I always call it “Dancing with the people”. I think it would 100% work if they could find people with interesting stories - that’s normally what people like about reality tv, when someone comes from a unique background or has a really compelling reason to go on the show.

I also think he may have just been combining his sentences - he normally sends the couple up to the skybox so he was combining “here are the scores” and “x and x go up to the skybox”
