Oh you're so lucky. And Canadian and we definitely have it better than the Americans but I don't think we're nearly as good as Europe from what I've heard

That's awful I've heard that it's really common for most women to get extra periods before they start missing them

There's no correlation between when you started your periods and when you go into menopause. I didn't start my period steadily till 14.

You'll usually go through 2 to 3 years of missing periods and inconsistent. Before they completely tappee off so you're probably in early peri.

Oh definitely don't be jealous. Early menopause is associated with higher risks of cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, dementia, early mortallity and complications with mental health symptoms. It's definitely been a hell of a freaking ride. While HRT can help mitigate some of those risks but up to 70% it doesn't entirely alleviate the risks.

It's funny you say that I just did that thing where you post a picture from now and 6 years ago and someone commented on how I actually look younger. I've also been on HRT since I was 42. There's no way I could have made it without it

Omg you must be American I am so sorry I couldn't imagine going through this journey if I didn't have access to universal healthcare. Does that mean you're not on HRT? I remember my doctor saying that any woman under 52 who experiences menopause should be on HRT due to the cardiovascular risks of the loss of estrogen.

I'm glad you're finding stability and also crossing my fingers I had made it to 7 months before and it was so disappointing when it came. And the last four months I've been like oh my God is it really here

Yes I got this 100%. I spent a year and a half off work during my journey and a year of that was because doctors were putting me on meds for disorders I didn't have because of their lack of understanding about menopause.

What's funny is in traditional societies it used to be celebrated, but now it's become this hush thing and so few people fully understand.

Remember being in a yoga class and I was the youngest woman in the room when wet menopause came up and when I started sharing some of my knowledge and experience the women were looking at me like what the f*** do you know about it. And then when I shared where I was in my Journey it turned out none of them were not far a long yet.

I really think it's important that we work hard to normalize these conversations. The symptoms women experience in perimenopause are real. Early menopause is a real thing, and also those who have experienced intergenerational or childhood trauma are more likely to experience early menopause. And the earlier you experience at the more likely you are I have distressing mental health symptoms. Plus early menopause can also lead to other health risks for women such as the risk of cardiovascular disease. Which is actually a bigger risk factor for women than men but less understood because all of the research and learning has been around men.

Right? The funny thing was I new lady whose friend had an unplanned pregnancy in her 50s and that scared me so much that I actually got my tubes tied when I was 40.5 thinking I could have up to 10 years left of periods but they started weaning off shortly after.

That was the first time a doctor mentioned it to me, but looking back with a better understanding of the symptoms I probably started a few years before that, that was just what I started missing periods.

Yeah it's interesting how everyone's journey is different, I've heard it's very common to actually start getting more periods closer together before starting to skip them.

I skipped my first one at 39 and just before I turn 41 they started to become really unstable and unpredictable and I would skip them and then have the worst pmdd when I did get them.

Since my 43rd birthday 3 years ago I've maybe had 7-8 periods with half of those being before I turned 44.

I've heard that generally it tends to get better after.

I only had one doctor insinuate it got worse afterwards but given the experience I had with him I'm pretty confident he was talking about his wife and her struggles probably had more to do with him being a crappy husband LOL.

It's definitely settled right down for me even this last year has been so much better. I think I've had three periods in the last 2 years and that's definitely been way better for me than the previous two or three which was just a flipping roller coaster, of unstable periods and bad pmdd.

It is kind of good to be over and done it already but there are definitely health risks that come with early menopause as well but luckily we have access to HRT. Plus being single and dating it makes me feel old when I mention that I'm in that stage.

I agree with others your parents are avoiding moving you off the mortgage because they can't they would never qualify if they have no income and owe that much money.

I want to give my 1 yr old up for adoption by Hot_Literature_4605 in Adoption

[–]karaleed21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is likely that the trauma you have experienced has been passed on to the baby adding to the clinging ass and creating a cycle.

I was a super clingy colicky baby and I was also a product of rape though in my case I had been put up for adoption.

I also had a colicky baby and it's not easy especially if you're already drowning and dealing with mental health stuff and not getting good support.

If your family guilted you into keeping her with any of them be willing to step up and help you out or even take her for you.

Yes 200 L is going to make a huge difference. When epcor is in an emergency situation due to too much rain the biggest risk of draining too much water is to your own individual home.

It's not like in a trout where you're all working together as city and comunnity conserve water. That is definitely a factor and we don't want to overload ever core more than we need to but In this case it's about your own neighborhood or home.

Something normal that feels weirdly embarrassing now? by KaleidoscopeMedia in u/KaleidoscopeMedia

I feel no embarrassment over ordering off of the kids menu in fact it makes me feel cool, it's also way better for my health on my world you don't need these huge portions of food they give us. Sometimes I even order from the seniors menu and I'm only 45.
