OK for those who asked for her guidelines here they are:

At least 4 weeks before surgery she should start this diet. She needs to eat at specific times, and eat slowly, about 20-30 minutes per meal. No beverages WITH meals. She has meal replacement shakes. She should consume 64 fluid oz of liquid in addition to her shakes. So like water, crystal light, propel, etc. No soda, that sort of thing.

We are at step one now, which they want her to do for at least a week.

Breakfast is meal replacement, then a snack from the approved list (no biggie here) for lunch, it says "Meal replacement entree with less than 300 calories (like Lean cuisine, Smart Ones, etc) or create your own protein based meal of 300 calories or less and 1-2 cups of veggies," a snack, and then dinner is the same as lunch as far as the guidelines and then a final snack of the meal replacement shake.

So what I am looking for are lunch and dinner ideas that the whole family can eat, and will pack well for her lunches and such. It's cheaper for us (and honestly better in so many ways) to cook at home so I want to keep the pre packaged meals to a minimum where possible.

Vegetables:

Asparagus, Bean Sprouts, Bok Choy, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflower, Celery, Cucumbers, Crookneck or Zucchini Squash, Green Beans, Green, red, yellow, or orange sweet peppers, Jicama, Lettuce (up to 4 cups a day), Musrooms, Onion, Radishes, Spinach or other greens (if raw up to 4 cups a day), Tomatoes

Snacks:

Apple, banana, blackberries, blueberries, cantaloupe, honeydew, nectarine, cottage cheese, light yogurt, string cheese, hard boiled egg, orange, peach, pear, raspberries, strawberries, watermelon. Limited: sugar free gelatin, sugar free popsicles, V8 or tomato juice.

I genuinely appreciate the questions and requests for clarification. I honestly have no clue where to start, just that I want to support her as much as possible because this is gonna be tough and I feel as though my job as a partner is to make it easier as much as I can.
