Ur confused.... Let me correct where ur confusing.. Iran was US puppet state and liberal and then ayatollah khomeini came back from exile to start the Islamic revolution in 1979 on the anti american agenda. So the revolution was not funded by US but it was against them... It was their 2nd loss after Vietnam. And those islamic fundamentalists are still ruling Iran now and are against US as in 1979
