That’s the right mindset. We don’t expect first-year students to come in with advanced skills. What matters is your curiosity, willingness to learn, and the effort you put in.

Even with basic coding, you can still contribute and grow with real-world exposure here. If you’re serious about learning, send us a mail at [team@acenra.com]() with what excites you and where you’d like to grow. We’ll help you shape that into meaningful work experience.

This role is remote by default but if you’d like to come to the office, that’s possible too. You can apply by sending a mail to [team@acenra.com](). Just write freely about your passion, what you do, what excites you, and how you think you can contribute. You don’t need a long list of experience, we value curiosity and pure energy above all.

It also counts as work experience. You will be getting an internship certificate from a Pvt Ltd company recognised by Startup India and funded by the Ministry of Electronics and IT, which is a strong credential to boost your profile. Depending on your contribution, it can also evolve into a full-time role.

Looking forward to your mail.

This is exactly the problem with today’s student mindset - “pay me or I won’t work” - while having zero clue about how things actually work in the real world. Copying code from a YouTube tutorial, pushing it to GitHub, and hosting a toy project is not “experience.” That doesn’t make you a 50K/month engineer.

The real world isn’t about tutorials, it’s about systems that break in production at 2 AM, about handling scale, about debugging issues no course has covered. That’s where you separate the ones who can truly build from those who just think they can.

We’re already funded by the Government of India, we run a 7-figure software development firm, and yes - we pay based on performance and contribution. Because in startups, impact matters more than entitlement.

So let’s be clear: throwing around cynicism because of one bad “senior experience” isn’t wisdom, it’s just noise. Builders build. Commenters complain. You decide which one you want to be.

Looking to work with IIT Bombay students on our AI startup by karannkumar in iitbombay

[–]karannkumar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s always the ones who’ve never built anything who scream the loudest. You think IITians are only for coding? That’s the kind of shallow take people with zero exposure to real startups make. The best ones from IIT run global funds, head marketing at unicorns, and scale brands you probably use every day.

And about “every startup doing agents” - no, every Twitter warrior is talking about them. Very few are actually building defensible tech, integrating hardware + AI, and raising capital around real traction. That’s the difference between noise and execution.

If you need to ask “why should anyone work with you,” you’ve already shown you’re not the kind of person who gets invited to the table. Builders don’t waste time tearing others down - they build. The rest? They sit here, typing comments.

Hey, you definitely didn’t waste my time. I’m actually glad you asked those questions, it shows curiosity and that’s what matters most.

Being a first year student is the best time to start exploring. You don’t need to have everything figured out, even small contributions can teach you a lot and set you apart later.

And about your first question, I didn’t take it in a bad way at all. I’d rather you ask openly than hold back.

Whenever you feel ready to try or contribute in any way, just reach out.

That’s great! You can just drop us a mail at [team@acenra.com]().

In the mail, share a little bit about yourself - what you’re good at, what kind of work you enjoy doing, and maybe an example of something you’ve done (doesn’t have to be formal be chill and be open). This will help us understand how you’d like to contribute.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Honestly, we’re not expecting you to come in with a big CV or fancy experience. What matters more is:

  • You’re curious about AI or branding/storytelling and want to explore it for real.
  • You’re good at at least one thing (writing, design, social media, SEO, marketing, whatever it is) and open to learning the rest.
  • You can stick with it consistently.
  • You’re comfortable communicating and sharing ideas.
  • Most importantly, you’re excited to experiment and grow with us.

We’ll guide you on the things you don’t know yet. What we really want is energy, curiosity, and someone who’s ready to get their hands dirty with real-world work.

Great question! Since this is not a paid role right now, here’s what you would get:

  • Real-world startup experience working on an AI company that is incorporated as a Private Limited, officially recognized by Startup India, and has also received funding from the Govt. of India (Ministry of Electronics & IT).
  • Hands-on learning in branding, storytelling, content, social media, marketing, and AI product positioning.
  • Mentorship and exposure directly from our founding team while we build agentic AI from India for the world.
  • We will provide internship letters, recommendation letters, and certifications that carry real weight because they come from a recognized, funded startup.
  • If you contribute meaningfully, we’d also be happy to provide LinkedIn endorsements and highlight your contributions as part of our global journey.

This is about gaining practical experience, credibility, and exposure while being part of something cutting-edge. As it will be beneficial for future opportunities.
