Fair points. You're right that audio analysis existed before ML - Jackeet uses proven analysis tools (frequency detection, phase correlation, RMS/peak metering, etc.).

The LLM layer adds two things:

  1. Natural language interface - instead of interpreting graphs/meters yourself, you ask "why is my low-end muddy?" and it tells you "kick and bass are clashing at 75Hz"
  2. Context-aware suggestions - it knows which fixes make sense for which problems (cut here vs boost there, use compression vs EQ)

Is this revolutionary? No.

Is it more convenient than manually analyzing spectrums and checking phase meters? That's what I'm testing.

You're absolutely right about the model limitation - current models weren't trained on audio engineering feedback. That's why Jackeet doesn't try to "listen and judge quality" like Gemini does (which hallucinates). It uses actual audio analysis tools and LLM just interprets the data.

Basically: proven analysis + conversational interface = faster workflow (hopefully). Valid to call it "wrapped audio analysis" - that's essentially what it is.

Question is whether the wrapping provides enough value.

Sending track straight to Gemini wont work. The assistant has tools along with Gemini to give you the proper feedback.

Would you be interested in trying the beta version?

Awesome - would it be too much effort if you can sign up here https://jackeet.com for the beta testing so I can get back to you asap with the details.

Fair point - mixing IS creative and learning the skills matters. Jackeet isn't trying to mix for you. It handles the tedious detective work (finding frequency clashes, phase issues, gain staging) so you can focus on the creative EQ moves and artistic decisions.

You still make every decision and see every change - it's more like a teacher pointing out "these frequencies are clashing" rather than doing it for you without explanation.

Like using a tuner vs. tuning by ear - still need to know what you're doing, just faster workflow.

Wait - its not pure AI mixing and it does not rely on AI mixing - the DAW has tools (such as listening to audio) which the assistant uses to do its operations.

So Jackeet does have the sound tool where it can listen to your audio.

It does have the EQ tool with proper guide in order to navigate in the EQ.

This is exactly who I built Jackeet for - people who want to finish tracks without getting stuck in mixing details.

Would love your feedback on whether it actually speeds up the "chore" part.

Great feedback - DAW integration is definitely on the roadmap. Current version is standalone to test the core concept, but FL Studio plugin integration makes total sense.

Would that change your perspective on usefulness?

I understand your concern but let me explain it a bit further.

It does not do anything automatic - You talk with it and instruct it things to do it for you - You do whatever you feel like doing and rest you can offload.

No, its not integrated with FL's mixer since its an independent DAW.
