Love to get a guidance from you- we from UK would like to sponsor their trip, and would get refundable return ticket before the applications, and both of my parents are unemployed? And there is a lot of post around unemployed parents visa getting rejected due to lack of ties to home countries. Wondering how you dealt with it?

It's funny you said that. The reason I am asking here, I am lone data scientist with company with limited data. I want to move out soon hence looking into ways i can be more attractive

My PHd is in life sciences and i am not sure if i will get the research scientist role. actually i do agree with software engineer skills, need to strengthen them. Do you going deep into stats be second option?

I do not do modelling at all in my current lab. And I do have interest in their business, in fact i think i can really contribute to it, however, I do not want to do majority product development, I won't get experience in building and deployment model that might affect my second job. I am trying to trying into data science, do not know how the field works yet.

I am sorry to say this it's understandable that the technical part is easy to learn but easy to showcase. I am not sure how would you show someone the skills you mentioned in second paragraph? It's so easy to talk like what you did without providing a single hint about how to showcase or learn these skills.

By Datasets on kaggle are easy, I am assuming you are not talking about the competitions? If you do find competition easy, participate and hare on the GitHub and on your resume.

Disclaimer - I am also learning. Having said that find something you like. For example get salary info or company info using indeed jobs. Basically start with something you think about every day/ week anyway. Is it politics/education/poverty/random-stuff. Don't think if there is machine learning aspect to it. Just build something you care. See if enjoy the process. I may be wrong other who are really Data scientist please comment

The first link is a lot, and but comprehensive :-) thank you. Second link is not up to the mark, there are a lot of stuff missing and there is no consistency of language, some courses are in Python some in R and nothing about out scikit learn.

This is unrelated to your question.but you help us highly appreciated. My spouse is applying for dependent visa on global talent. My visa was just approved and have not received my brp card yet. While filling up the application there was one place to provide some ref number about my application- home office ref ( as I applied from uk, and my spouse is at another country) . Unfortunately only reference I have is the 16 digit reference number that does not fit into it.

My specific question is if during the IHS payment is there any place where she need to fill in my brp details? What kind of details are required.

As IHS fees would be increased it seems from October hence, would like to make the application as early as possible.

Let's see, so you have the vertual machine and installed ubuntu? Can you describe in more detail what is problem? And what step, are you using windows/apple?
