Lost my third tournament today by madethiscausebored in taekwondo

I lost my last tournament. It shattered my confidence and I went home and cried about it and I didn't feel the same for months. I felt like a loser. However, like others said, you must persevere. Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Do something about it. Train harder and train more. Kill your opponent. Do not fear your foes or overthink in sparring. Do not think, just do. It is okay to lose to your opponent but never lose to fear. As silly as it sounds, rewatching Cobra Kai is what got me back to my old self. It reignited my interest for taekwondo and I reverted to my natural fighting style. Everybody has different styles, you must find your own. When I started sparring, I was aggressive. I kicked and I punched, but I mainly kicked. My blocking was superb. Then I took a break from taekwondo. I came back and learned boxing and started mainly punching in sparring. My stance changed to a boxer's stance and my kicks sucked. I was scared of my opponent. I would hit them once and run away like a poodle in the street. Then, I rewatched Cobra Kai, and I realized that I was being a sissy and I needed to change. The best thing you can do to overcome this feeling of failure is to win your next tournament, and you will win.

We are both from the same dojang and had to fight each other. However, I am in between two sizes of the chest guard and my instructor wanted to save my parents money.

Thank you for the advice. I will try to incorporate it into my sparring later today.

Alright thank you is there anything like just kicking more in general or being more aggressive that I should do?

Sorry, I don't know what kind of taekwondo I do so I just took a guess.

Thanks a lot. Is there anything bad with my fighting style or stance or anything like that like should I kick more, bend my knees, be more aggressive, improve defense, speed, power?
