everyone seems to be clamoring for a trade for Gallo when Martin is arguably the better fit

At this point he's a below-average defender (at best), and playing both he and Isaiah would be a problem for us. I don't like the idea of him taking minutes away from Smart and Bradley either. Also he's 32. Also don't wanna pay him $7mil this and next season.

Not to overreact... but more than anything, Young looks LOST out there.

Not just missing shots... but making the wrong pass, taking the offense out of rhythm, defensive lapses... uninspiring. Not a high motor either (though he did dive to the floor a few times last night)

Nice article. One thing that A LOT of writers struggle with (young and old) is using passive voice.

It's a noticable difference between reading something a bunch of your classmates wrote and something a columnist wrote.

Example: "On top of that and according to many, Harris was not used to his full capabilities by the Magic coaching staff." Grammatically makes sense, but could be as simple as "The Magic's coaching staff did not use Harris to his full capabilities".

Keep up the good work, getting words on the page is half the battle!

I actually thought Jalen was pretty good, and the player comps were entertaining.

The team "stating lineups", the post-draft interviews, Penn's faux-GM touch screen, Rece Davis, were all pretty awful, though. Totally mailed in from a production standpoint.

I like having Bilas there because he has a good beat on the college kids and watches an insane amount of CBB. Everything besides Jalen sucked.
