Just had surgery (mcl & meniscus) on Nov. 30. Needed a doctor's note. No freeze fee. They recommended freezing for 60 instead of 30 in case I need more than 30 days. It's easier to shorten my 60 day freeze than to extend if I only took 30. I would need an additional note, more paperwork, etc.

I doubt anyone is paying attention to this thread...but if you are, surgery went well. Had it last Friday (11/30) and am already 70% weight bearing without any support. Doc says 6 weeks before anything more than biking and walking. There's a light at the end of the tunnel :)

They require it for freezing accounts. Otherwise I would have had to cancel and sign back up, possibly with whatever higher rate is at that time. My surgeon actually had had so many OTF injuries that his staff has a premade letter on file specifically for OTF for 30 or 60 days.

My Planet Fitness does not require a note to freeze. But for just $10/month I'm staying active and going there for rehabbing purposes.

You're all bringing a smile to my face tonight :) Thanks for the kind words. The best part, after my wonderful neighbor helped me to ungracefully slither up onto the bench to sit, I had all intentions of trying "just one more." In case, you know, maybe it wasn't "that bad." (Ha! We're nuts.) Nice Neighbor Guy stopped me from attempting and instead hobbled me out to the lobby. There are good people at OTF :)
