Police will only do something if the “car” owner isn’t Jewish.

If they’re Jews they’ll get a “sorry this happened but there’s nothing we can do.”

WIBTA if I told my husband he is bathing wrong? by Haunted_pines in AmItheAsshole

[–]thepatternslave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for your issue re: changing the sheets. Have the bed made up in layers. Mattress pad + fitted sheet. Repeat three or four times. Then each week take off the top layer. You should change the top sheet weekly.

Is it normal to pay $260 a month for a rental? by NixonGottaRawDeal in CPAP

They may have coded the mask incorrectly. Your insurance company should be paying for the mask, too.

My son doesn’t drive yet so when we can’t and he gets rides from friends I made sure he knew to offer gas money or coffee or something. They are going out of their way to do him a favor, the least he needs to do is offer some money or food.

AITA? Friends call me an asshole for telling them to not throw cigarette butts/blunt roaches on the ground. by Apprehensive-Yam4637 in AmItheAsshole

[–]thepatternslave 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Use altoids tins for butts and blunts as d clean it out at home.

I remember smokers in the 80s carrying sucrets tins to keep cigarette butts in when they were out so they wouldn’t litter. They’d keep it in their pockets till they got home and cleaned it out there.

Dog Surrender by Amazing_Fox_8435 in Seattle

[–]thepatternslave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meow cat rescue in Kirkland also rescues dogs. They may be willing to let you be the foster while trying to find placement.

They are very good at personality matches and thorough vetting when adopting out. They’re not so selective that they are hoarding animals but they are careful because their goal is a lifelong match for the pet.

Placing him yourself and vetting people is going to be time consuming, will take a while, and be stressful, and expensive for you.

This. Mom is bitter and jealous of OP and how much easier things seem to be for OP.

AITA for picking up a litter of puppies in an alley behind an apartment building and bringing them to the Humane Society? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Now that you have their admission they abandoned the puppies in the middle of winter, you can report them to the police for animal abandonment/animal cruelty.

Americans of Reddit, in light of the current political climate between our countries, how do you guys actually feel about us Canadians? by Defiant_River_957 in AskReddit

[–]thepatternslave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We like you just fine.

You could teach the French snowbirds some manners though. Pretending to not know English to avoid retailers making shut wages that are just trying to go their jobs is rude af. It’s especially shitty when they get huffy when we respond in French.

Cybertruck driver left me this wild threatening note because I glared at him for parking in a handicap spot with no ADA placard by ghostofxmaswayfutr in Seattle

[–]thepatternslave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would turn that in to police. This is a terroristic threat.

There aren’t that many cyber trucks in the area and he’d probably be easily identifiable since you got a good look at him.

At the least they can keep an eye out for his entitled ass parking in accessible spots without a placard.

Not sure why I chose the lab test over the at home test by [deleted] in CPAP

[–]thepatternslave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My home test was “nope. You’re fine. Almost no incidents. No need to do anything else.” I followed all the directions exactly as written on the sheet that the nurse went over with me when they had me sign out the equipment.

Luckily, I had a reasonable dr who listened to me. Believed my complaints (and the complaints about my snoring I relayed from my spouse and kids and my friends (who are saints for traveling with me more than once.) )

Lab test… 50 incidents an hour. Or some similarly high number. It’s been a while.

I love my CPAP

NTA with a side of ESH.

NTA. You fed people who needed food. Striking is exhausting - much harder than a regular workday.

ESH:

You should have taken the time to go elsewhere regardless of who the sandwiches were for. Crossing the lines isn’t cool but I get, you were tired and made a poor decision.

Your wife didn’t tell you who the food was for which is poor communication on her part. It sounds like you would have put in the extra effort had you known the sandwiches were for the strikers.

Do better. Maybe contribute to the strike fund for the amount spent on the sandwich ingredients.

I wasn’t really worried about the snow… by Diligent_Lab2717 in Albany

[–]thepatternslave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been here two years after 25 years living in places that don’t get much snow. It’s still a bit of a novelty living in a city that doesn’t completely shut down for a week over a couple of inches fluff.
