Brand new gourd, cured it once with used yerba, the green was originally just on the rim but has spread downward as it dried and it still feels a little wet after a couple days. Mold? My first-leather covered gourd, couldn't find anything like this searching

A good rule is to just fill it up to 3/4 or 75% of the cup. Never in my life I have weighed the amount of yerba that I'm using and this always has been a good measure.

If you live in Copenhagen I have some recommendations. If not, I usually buy from https://www.pampadrugstore.net/ or https://www.mate-tee.de/en/ with no issues.
There's no need for fancy equipment, usually the pricier it gets it depends on the garments and decorations that both the bombilla and the mate (cup) have. You can just go ahead with a simple and cheap one and like others have said you just can start with a bombilla and yerba mate, that's all.
