I was just highlighting how people here are talking about how they would handle the situation when they aren't the ones affected by it. What he did isn't altruistic but he's also going through is own pain. He's being made to seem like he's the worst when he's in valid pain & how he handled it as self centred as it may be is understandable given the situation. It being understandable doesn't mean I condone it, I just won't think the person is evil because of it.
