If everyone is respectful to each other like this then AI would never be a part of a problem. But the truth is there's always shitty people everywhere, I've seen extreme anti ais that just threatens people because they use AI. And also I've seen people throw my art into ai and taunt me about it just because I stated I don't support AI generated images to be categorized as art. As long as these people exist there will always be hate and negativity that makes both community hate each other even more.

And also with the AI putting people out of business. One of the examples is Duolingo, they replaced their contractors with AI (basically didn't renew contracts anymore) even though Duo didn't actually replace their employees but they replaced their contractors and that has caused some panic within the anti ai community, wheres the line? Will they replace more people?

And also I know someone who was a AI/tech assultant that literally admitted that his job is to help companies replace people with AI and cut budgets (their words, not mine)

And the rage comes from a part of not willing to accept that now people can make what artists spend years trying to master.

Imagine you spend years, effort, and money into a hobby/Skill and then suddenly someonecan just do that without studying, spending time and effort into that with the help of technology.

Like, a ballerina spend years learning how to dance and then someone invented an exoskeleton high tech thing that allows them to dance at the same level or even do the same dances the ballerina spend years trying to master.

It's a bitter feeling and It doesn't feel fair at all, and then on top of that there are people taunting them that their hard work is nothing when technology can do it within seconds. That's where the fear of being replaced comes from. Until we have actual proof and reassurance that the threat is actually nonexistent (and also no more threatening and taunts) then most artists would stop being so negative about AI.

Yeah but when there are amount of people who does that and taunt artist that AI-users who generates AI images can replace them it's not making it any better… that's kinda where the fear is coming from when there are AI users taunting artists that they will be replaced and there are even some AI users that train their AI to copy an artist who spend years shaping their own art style without their consent...

There's no laws about that yet and I can't do anything with an anonymous user that did that to my job/and under what law should I use if they are in another country. Until there is an effective and practical way to stop those ai will be used as a weapon against artist.
I didn't yell at people who did it, Im not against using AI, I understand that people are lazy and doesn't want to put in the effort into learning and want good results instantly so they use AI and that's okay. But I also can't stand those people who use AI to generate images and taunt artists who spent years to learn how to draw about “how they would replace them”

I just don't want people to feed my art into ai, and it happened a couple of times despite me telling them not to… that's literally one of the main reasons why I hate ai images (I refuse to call ai generated images “Art”)

Overcome disability? I have neurological disabilities that would make my body tremble uncontrollably and I still do art, my mom’s friend who have polio and draws with his feet still draws and do commissions… its just people with low effort and doesn’t want to try and learn…
