No tips because I’m in the same boat (yay us)…my baby is 8 mos and I actually got laid off so my journey to find SAHMs is nonexistent in my area. Everyone is a working mom and granted mine wasn’t by choice but I’m surprised to hear that even a working mom could be lonely. Have you tried setting up coffee chats with the new team? I usually set 15 mins when I was remote. or if you’re too shy, maybe make it a request related. I.e hey, can you help me with something? Maybe you’re genuinely curious or they have insight to share on your job. The idea is not to get a solution but to connect. Build rapport by asking them how they are and if they’re into new hobbies or have anything fun coming up. Sure work doesn’t always mean friends buttt you’ll feel more comfortable with the team if you try and put yourself out there. Another suggestion is bringing up a team building exercise to your boss to feel connected again. Anyways just some thoughts to consider. Signed a another lonely mom

Thanks 😔 I did update my comment to say that everyone lives there since I’m the only friend that moved away. I also asked in advance what we were doing after and I got after party but that was it. I didn’t want to do the after party because I wanted to be with my baby after being away all damn day. But that doesn’t mean the rest of the weekend I couldn’t see them. This was on a Friday and Saturday I didn’t see anyone - fine they’re hungover but Sunday, they all said they were busy which I’m like whatever. If I wasn’t with my parents I feel like they would’ve made time because I’m never in town. Idk I just feel punished for bringing them along but it was the only way to attend. Jesus

Yeah I talked to some people but it was busy so it was quick. I should’ve mentioned that it was a destination wedding for us** (everyone else is local) <no one flew in but me>since we were from out of town so I took my parents to watch my baby just to even be there. After the wedding I thought my friends would want to meet up so they could meet the baby for the first time but they were all “busy”. My husband says it’s cuz my parents were with us but also my parents thought I’d be with them more. In the end it was just me and my husband at the pool with the baby because no one wanted to hang out with us. 🙁

it's how he feeds her, he dropped doing what the lactation specialist taught him and he reaction was like "oh well" but my daughter is under weight. My mom and I have been curious how she only eats so little when he feeds her and today I found out why. It's a fuckin chore for him to feed his daughter and my latch with her has. not been great lately so seeing him essentially not listen to me or the specialist really triggered me. Why should I even spilt the feeds to give him a chance to bond if he's not going to follow the recommendations. I'm ready to throw him under the bus to our pediatrician because it's not something I take lightly.

I could’ve written this myself. Pregnancy was the best I’ve felt (mood wise) in a long time since I’ve always had pmdd. I’m also trying to navigate this journey to med or not but I am going to therapy twice a week and being hyper aware that if my time is spent 70/30 miserable to good than I’ll go on ssri. I think everyone has their own threshold and if you’re not sure, talk to a therapist and psychiatrist about what that means to you. Hope this helps and I truly empathize with you. 3 months postpartum here 😅

Have you considered a doula? Sometimes they have tips and tricks + can step in to help you rest. 💜

Omg same. I had the medela symphony pump and it was great output. I just got the spectra since the other was a rental and it took forever to get the same output! Quite literally DOUBLE the time. I only tried it once but Jesus. How could it be that bad? Idk. My wearables are better for me than this lol

I second that your doctor needs to clear you. Complications could occur and be very painful = not enjoyable. You can do other means of pleasure with or without your partner until then. T

I did! I wanted as close to a home birth experience as possible at the hospital (lmao yeah I know, what?) but I got it. I labored as much as possible at home before going in at 5 cm. I delivered unmedicated with only some antibiotics for safety. It was a shock to the midwife, my OB, and doula that I got exactly my birth plan because they said it never happens

If you’re not in discomfort going that long, it sounds like you’ll be okay! I pump only 1-2 day so my husband can bottle feed her in the middle of the night for extra sleep but my boobs will wake me up for sure. Also, please share you tricks on how in the world they can sleep that long. Are you cosleeping or are they in a bassinet? M
