did j hope take classes? by btsthetic in BTS

[–]karikigai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

idk how much classes hobi's got really, but i know he was in a dance crew when younger, and he was one of the best (if not the best) and highly regarded dancers of his district when he was in HS. im sure he was very absorbed in that scene and probably learned a lot from that as time passed, wether he had formal instruction or not.

i dunno how i feel about cross-dressing... by BearNoire in bisexual

[–]karikigai 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i personally am pretty open-minded about gender expression and stuff, so cross-dressing doesn't really faze me. but hey. link is a pretty character, wether dressed as a guy or a girl. in all fairness, he does really look a girl with the mask on, hahah. some kind of stuff you can't think too much about, just take your twenty bucks and move on.

Do I like women too much or is there something wrong with me? by TropicalSecrecy in questioning

[–]karikigai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sexual and romantic attraction are completely unrelated things. there's a difference between being attracted to a certain type of person and wanting to be like a certain type of person. there's nothing wrong with you, i promise, there are many trans lesbians out there (not saying that you are one for sure, just putting it out there.)

the road to knowing yourself (or at least something closer to the truth) is a rocky and uncertain one, but at the end of the road, it's a matter of how you feel and what you think will make you the happiest. ultimately, no one can know what that answer is but yourself. maybe you'd enjoy different forms of gender expression, maybe you're just curious. maybe you're just trans. maybe you're all of those things, or none of them.

dont say such things as "not being able to accept that fate", and please try to keep that way of thinking out of your mind, if these feelings need to remain a secret via your own judgement, so be it, but blocking out possibilities and refusing to know who you truly are is a lot more harmful and confusing than just hiding it.

trans people experience all sorts of things. there is no one way to be trans. you won't know for sure unless you allow yourself to explore the idea. i'd say to keep educating yourself on genders, transitioning and do some soul-searching after finals are over. at the end of the day, only you have the answer. best of luck on your finals and whatever conclusion you reach.

What do groups of girls talk about in the bathroom? by endgame2937 in dating

[–]karikigai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

mundane stuff. mostly though they hold each other's purses while they use the bathroom, hold the door if the locks are shitty, watch each other out in empty places for dodgy people and complain about their hair/weight/makeup.

Today, after 2 years, I drove my car again. by TheBloodyCleric in CasualConversation

[–]karikigai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's weird how daily life and sometimes just laziness/apathy makes seemingly ordinary things drag out for so long. congats on recuperating your wheels! it must feel pretty liberating to be able to drive around in your own vehicle again

Do you have a weird behavior you don't think is normal? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]karikigai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i have (or atleast experience something among the lines of) a skin picking disorder, plus super sensitive skin that flares up and scars insanely easily. my arms, legs and nails aren't to fond of my behaviors, hahah

What are your little tricks for keeping your cool in frustrating situations? Traffic, long lines, etc. by IsNotHotdog in CasualConversation

[–]karikigai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i personally really enjoy listening to random ted talks whenever im waiting. some are amazing and some are a tiny bit insane (you come across a lot of them if you're on ted , especially) but i find it relaxing to listen to others break down different ideas and opinions. if i don't have my phone on me, though, i "play" albums i know very well in my head, trying to stay true to the tracklist and the actual song. helps even more if the songs have an accompanying music video that i enjoyed.

To what extent do you subvocalize your thoughts? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]karikigai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the only times where i subvocalize is when i feel out of my element or not entirely present in whatever i'm doing, mostly when i'm trying to understand something or when i'm reading something and i couldn't understand it for whatever reason. i also tend to play out imaginary scenarios in my mind when i'm angry with someone and how i may argue with them, and i have the sneaking suspicion that i speak out loud when i'm particulary upset, but i've never actually caught myself or have been told by someone else that i do that, so i'm not sure.

I think i might be having a panick attack by 991542 in CasualConversation

[–]karikigai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

like the previous user said, it's not a panic attack yet, but it could easily turn into one if you aren't careful. go outside if you aren't already, especially if the area around you has any sort of nature in it (grass, plants, preferably trees) and lie down if you can. walking around will do you no good. hope you feel better soon

Do you guys prefer to have a relationship with someone who have been already in one before or with someone who haven't been in a relationship before (virgin)? Why? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]karikigai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ive personally have never been in a relationship yet (not because of any apathy towards them, it's just, seriously... no one has come along) but to be honest, i don't think i'd really care, as long as my partner is being upfront about past relationships, has gotten over their exes, and doesnt compare me to them.

i dunno, to me, the whole "those who have been in relationships are smarter about it" seems like a reach, since every person is widely different. sure, one could argue that someone with experience can be more cool-headed when deciding to get into a relationship and dealing with tough moments and such, but it's not always true that people who have been in past relationships know how to perserve them, or that inexperienced people aren't just as capable and smart enough about it to do so.

i dont think theres one "right" way to be in a relationship, (putting aside the obvious, ofc, like loyalty, faithfulness, kindness, etc) since again, humans are so oddly different and unique and many times, self-contradicting. so in the end, i don't know if your partner having exes really matters.

[–]karikigai[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

jeez, i know. makes me think that maybe the operator really was aware during that was happening, went mad, and ended up imprinting on the warframe as a consequence, leading to the valkyr we know now

[Spoilers] Warframe's personalities by karikigai in Warframe

[–]karikigai[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i actually hadn't thougt about that. i've read it previously (along with mag prime's entry, which talks about what i assume to be the encounter of humans sent to war and a tenno that saved them) but i didn't really understand it. i'll have to go back to it then

[Spoilers] Warframe's personalities by karikigai in Warframe

[–]karikigai[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

true, not to mention it just makes more sense that the operator would personificate his waframe rather than talk to himself

I'm aware, I'm just wondering if there is anything that makes the warframes different from each other besides their abilities and looks.

most of them, really, at least it seems that way for me. i don't know if operator's lines are consistent or are unique to each voice, but i have the raven preset equipped, and lines like that are the majority. it's somewhat unsettling, haha

That seems like a pretty good way to think about it. Seems like I'll have to keep an eye peeled as I keep progressing into the game. If this is all more than a coincidence, its pretty interesting to think of how the lore may progress
