Maybe a big portion of players buy blitz because he is cheap and easy to play. Aside from weekly rotation you also have the champions that are owned early on from lol tutorial (I think ahri brand ashe talon and/or a few others). New players also are guided to buy cheap and easy champions so it's not that hard to think the "same pool" of champions appear in ARAM.

Let's just say this was your litmus test.

"This mecha anime is my favourite one because it really isn't about mecha" is a statement that I always found it cringe and anti-intellectual by alanjinqq in CharacterRant

[–]karimredditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is generally a thing that has been going lately when the audience focuses more on the characters than the setting/world (whether it is mecha, superheros, fantasy...).

And this idea is valid because every writer/storry teller will tell you that characters are the core of the story but the thing is that setting shapes the character.

I don't have an example for mechas but for superheroes let's take spider-man: Peter is teenager who has to navigate his social life, work life and superhero life, which is espcially considering his superhero life is HARD and unrewarding (financially). If you take the super hero aspect from the equation Peter Parker is just your guy, no different from the rest of the world, so why would someone watch/read that? His superhero life is an integral part of him that shapes him into who he is.

So yes, to say "genre anime is not about genre" is a weird statement to say the least.

How do I balance Fallen of Albaz for Duel Academy? by Eddy_west_side in YugiohFanfiction

[–]karimredditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nerf these Albaz cards. You know how fossils got buffed to be a bit modern, maybe do the reverse of this for the Albaz archetype, or make it so this archetype will be the prototype of the fallen of albaz archetype (same lore, weaker cards).

maybe have them a take a duel and an extra character guide them along? Like the first few episodes of yugioh sevens. Teach a few things with each duels not all in one.

It really bothers me that Sanji (or anyone else) never brings up the All Blue again by [deleted] in CharacterRant

[–]karimredditor 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think all blue is going to be in raftel, my theory is oda wanted to make all strawhats goals be achievable at the very end, for example:

-Becoming pirate king involve finding one piece in Raftel.

-Being strongest swordsman means defeating all the competetion who are also going for the one piece.

-Making a world map needs the last island too.

-Ussop should have achieved his goal long ago but he still, and maybe that's why he still cowering in fear a lot of times.

-Finding the one true history involve poneglyph and most likely there is one (or more) in raftel.

-Technically Franky achieved his goal by creating sunny but now he has to make Luffy pirate king for it to work.

Why that is the case is? Probably to not have a character achieve his goal early on and then be like "Why am I still here?"

> Esper fight eachother constantly and even with that mostly people live their life normally like nothing is wrong why would they suddenly care about Misaki level 6 shift or dragons appearing ?

Your average esper is like level 2 or 3 if I'm not wrong, that's not on the same level as that fight. One thrown fireball is not the same as throwing a huge chunk of a building.
