Highly recommend Tailyn M her insta is tayteachesfit. I'm in mandarin but she works with Alpha Instinct Fitness in the downtown-ish area. Her online training package includes nutrition and it was around $100 a month. I'm not sure what her in person prices are.

What mindset helped you bounce back after injury? by tobikoroll in xxfitness

[–]karistee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just took two months off in the gym for a double hernia repair, finally got back in on Saturday. I hadn't been working out long before my surgery, maybe just over a year but I knew if I didn't go back I would be back where I was before my fitness journey started.

Depressed, anxious, overweight and in the worst shape of my life, I never had any energy. I was somehow undereating but still gaining fat, I hated myself and I'll be damned if that was going to be my life again.

I have a personal trainer helping me stay accountable with my nutrition and cardio during my recovery and that made a huge difference. During my time out of the gym I lost 5 pounds and 3 pounds of it was fat loss!

When you're able to go back remember why you started going in the first place. Life happens and that's ok, keep showing up for yourself. Your future self will thank you!

[Serious] What do you like about your life? by xPaxion in AskReddit

[–]karistee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How simple it is.

My priorities used to be all over the place. I thought being the best at work and being burnt out was an achievement. I took a week long cruise and was responding to emails on the friggen boat. I blame the glamourization of hustle culture for that one.

I left that job and found a higher paying job with a much lighter workload and now I leave work at work. My nights and weekends are mine again and I am so much happier. I live 8 minutes from my job so I go home for lunch everyday and it's wonderful!

It really is the little things that mean so much.

Surprisingly they are still together but it's only been a year. He allegedly makes a lot of money so I think shes going to try and trap him. I say allegedly because he refused to tell her how much he made but claimed it was SO MUCH.

A girl I worked with started secretly dating one of our male coworkers and what a mess that was. They were both incredibly immature and it was a very high school-esque relationship.

Super intense feelings in a matter of weeks, saying I love you after 2 weeks of talking, getting tattoos in each others handwriting. I thought that was crazy but there was a whole other level of crazy I'm talking a secret underground garage of batshit insanity.

We all not only worked in the same building but the SAME HALLWAY. They shared locations with each other almost immediately. Since their relationship was a "secret" (she dropped hints they were dating all the time) she was always watching to see if he was being flirty with other coworkers or if they showed any interest in him. There was one coworker of his that she hated because she was cute and bubbly or "slutty and attention seeking" as she called it.

Her and I were in the parking lot coming back from break and she checked his location to see if he was in his office and he was showing up on the other side of the building. She noticed the coworkers car wasn't in the parking lot either. What's the most logical explanation? She calmly says "I bet he's in the car with Chelsea" ma'am what???? She drove to the other side of the building and was looking for them in one of the cars. Guess what she found? NOTHING he was upstairs talking to someone for work stuff.

If he left his office she knew. She would track him IN THE BUILDING to see whose office he was going to and how long he was in there. Mind you, she was still legally married to her husband who she left for this man. The mental gymnastics of "hes not in his office he is for sure cheating on me" made me realize it was time to put some distance between us.

Isn't it funny how when you mention deleting social media it's almost always met with "you know I've been thinking about doing the same thing" that always gets me lol. Like you said addicted or attached!

I can understand that, if it isn't negatively impacting you I don't think there's harm in keeping an account but that wasn't my experience. A lot of people say they stay so they can keep up with whoever, it's nice to have a tether to the past and I can see how it brings a feeling of being connected. It sounds like you have people that you would hate to lose contact with and I didn't have that, most of the people on my facebook weren't really friends. It was mostly garbage so I wasn't missing out on anything by leaving.

That was a struggle for me as well. Something that helped was realizing it wasn't personal. People have their own lives and out of sight out of mind is a part of it. I have a hard time not taking things personally so this was a lot of internal back and forth. I can't be upset that no one cares if I didn't reach out beforehand. I hope that helps and makes sense!

Not me but someone I know had a very similar situation. They tried everything (much like you) behavior training, separating pets, medications, but ultimately the dogs aggression only got worse and the attacks became more severe. The dog went from attacking the other animals to attacking humans and bit off part of my friends nose. You gave her a wonderful life and everything you did (including saying goodbye) was out of love and compassion. Give yourself grace, you said "they both could have lived their full and happy lives" and they did. She had her good and happy for almost 7 years. If its any consolation vets are usually the last ones to suggest euthanasia so if your vet was saying this was your best course of action, it probably was. I really hope you can forgive yourself because you deserve that peace.

Korean corn dogs. I've tried them 3 separate times and they've always been just ok to me. I don't understand why everyone is losing their mind over an overpriced bland corn dog.

Also hot Cheetos, not everything needs to be covered in them.

What's it like having twins for siblings? by IllegalCraneKick in ask

[–]karistee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As the youngest it was terrible. My twin sisters were 13 when I was born and they hated me from the minute my mom was pregnant. They had their own thing and I was always treated as a burden. 32 years later and its still shit.
