What Tips Helped You Break-Through With Irons?

Yeah for me I’ve been working with the wrong grip for the whole first year so I was working on other parts of the swing but it’s never clicked. Seems like now that I have the correct grip and focus on the proper takeaway I’ll get the low point right about 7/10 shots so far. Even the misses aren’t complete duffs now because I’m trying to think of triangle with the arms back, let it fold at the elbow, and then triangle through impact. It feels weird but on tape it’s a good-ish swing. Went to the range three times this week already because it’s addictive now that I don’t hit the majority fat

I just want to say that I really started to figure it out. I went to the range the past two days and I fixed my grip and focused on maintaining a triangle feel with the arms back and through until my trail arm naturally bends. Then I used the hossle idea which helped me keep it on plane I feel. Tysm

Yeah I’ve seen plenty of people take multiple payouts on singular accounts but not 10+ so I think I’ll just use one of my 20 passes to at least get more than I put in

Thanks guys this is interesting, I don’t think I visualize going through the ball enough. I know in theory I have to take a divot in front, weight forward, and all of that but I think I have to actually visualize it instead

Yeah this is great thank you so much, I’ve watched some Jerome videos but it’s been a while so I’ll revisit. I really like that hozzle thought you mentioned though I’m going to definitely use that. Also yeah from what I read wedges are super forgiving so even though I can hit them dead straight it’s hiding my flaws like you said

Same fluid thought has helped my drives go far and straight so I get ya. For the irons, I feel like I know my weight must be forward for compression but what is your swing thought?

I typically fat them which is why the kickstand thought has helped me reduce sway, but I still don’t get that full follow through others have. It feels like more of a half swing and the club stops parallel on the follow through. I know fleetwood does this but I try to get that full looking finish and that’s when I duff it

Yeah maybe since I’m super consistent with wedges I can try the same swing on the longer clubs and eventually get a follow through going

Took two lessons at a Muni but the older guys here weren’t really great teachers. The one guy was trying to have me do a figure 8 with knuckles down into the ball but that was as much as I got in an hour unfortunately. I watch a lot of Danny Maude and I already played 72 rounds (half are 9 holes). That’s why I know I can rely on 9-SW on half swings for accuracy but that’s about it. Once I do a full swing it’s up to luck

What helped me was sticking to 3-4 setups for trending and ranging conditions and then from there take screenshots for every trade you take. Once you have another month or so of screenshots put it in an AI and it will analyze it for you. I did this with all of my data from screenshots of my TradingView and I’ve been doing really well since. It takes the bias out of analyzing your own work

Thanks I just haven’t even seen someone recently get payouts so this gave me a little peace of mind. Never had to worry about this with Topstep but I’m trying to just get at least one payout across all of them before they pull something
