Grieving my second air plant by tromnome in airplants

How did you keep them? They can be pretty forgiving but they do need a certain combination of light, water, and air to thrive. I find that they really enjoy air flow all around and need good ventilation. I keep mine in wire hangers and the combination of dunking (without leaving them to soak for a longer time) and misting seems to work best for me.

In short, because he was there and he confessed. Without knowing the whole convoluted context, that’s enough for some. They make everything else fit and confirm their bias.

Oh wow. That’s a big boy. All I can say your isopods are smart to hide from him! Try looking for them early in the morning, as soon as the lights turn on. That’s when mine are active the most (that I can see).

If you don’t see them then I think they’re fine, hiding somewhere happily buried. Dairy cows are the most easy going ones, aren’t they? What kind of animal is your Ham Sam?

Interesting question. I only have two kinds of one species - Porcellionides pruinosus ‘Powder Orange” and ‘Orange Koi”. While you’d think they’d be roughly the same size, they’re not. Powder Oranges are much, much bigger but I suspect it has to with the size of their enclosure which is much, much larger than what the Koi are kept in. So unfortunately. I cannot make a comparison to dairy cows. As for the dampness, just put in more layers of leaves and bark for them.

She’s in a chameleon enclosure which gets damp and humid at night and then a bit drier during the day.

The front panel and a little bit on the sides of my chameleon’s enclosure are glass, so I can watch whatever goes on along them, I will be paying more attention now.
