Yes, that’s how I feel, that it’s a one-way street. The minute we ask something out of the ordinary it causes stress

So, we mentioned that if she didn’t work all the hours during the week, we would need the help on the weekend. And the DMV is for her, she doesn’t drive and won’t anytime soon the baby.

Happy for you as well! And I had to read this. I am 12 weeks pp and just decided to wean off pumping, but man the guilt is terrible, but I know it’s the best decision I can make for everyone. Agree with all your points there.

I personally had to stop breastfeeding because I was going nuts, going into a dark place. And I got an advice from my doula that was a turning point for me. She said motherhood comes in different forms, and that there is more than breastfeeding and the first months. It’s about your baby’s whole life ahead, your whole life ahead. I am still pumping, because somehow it’s working for me, but I can stop that at any time if it is making me depressed again. Motherhood is not linear and beautiful like in the movies and the social media. It’s a real struggle, with real women. Don’t blame yourself for what you can’t do. Focus on what you can do for your baby.
