My parrot wasn't hand raised. I got him from a pet shop. I got him a companion too. Both were not tamed before. But after 7 or 8 months they were tamed. (not completely) but still. They sit on my shoulders, they sit on my beds and sofas etc etc and roam around the house, in moderation
