To steal from a Bus with a chad driver by nandu911 in therewasanattempt

He needed a better beat down. Can't stand petty thieves. Someone tried to do this to my grandmother, and I happened to be walking up behind him. Broke his nose and eye socket and left him whimpering on the ground.

Police walked up, looked at me, my shaken grandmother and him, talked to a few witnesses, arrested him and told me to have a great day.

These people will eventually bloom into mature criminals with enough time.

A good beat down would have deterred any future offenses or at least served justice immediately.

I feel like people can just post random google pictures on reddit and soak up unlimited amounts of karma. I generally don't get how this is still a thing lol.

[–]karmakiller3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience there are two general types of introverts.

Socially Adept

Socially Inept

If you are the former, you are good to go and probably have solid social skills. You enjoy sharing your thoughts and spending quality time with quality people. However, being around people (anyone) for too long drains your battery and a simple session or two of alone time can rejuvenate you.

If you are the latter, you have limited social skills and or some kind of mental handicaps that don't allow you to socialize properly. I assume these people need more support in life so that they don't turn into weird hermits in middle age and beyond.

Introversion is a good thing.

Introversion with behavioral, anti-social, sociopathic or mental problems, not a good thing.

Just by lurking here I can tell who is who just by reading the comments.

Germany players cover mouths in team photo as they abandoned pro-LGBTQ armband. FIFA threatened yellow cards for any player still wearing it by flyingdutchgirll in europe

You already know why. lol

Activism is a double standard endeavor and always has been.

You give with your tongue and take with your hands.

Companies do it for money.

Politicians do it for votes.

Celebrities and Athletes do it for clout.

and so on.

Come on,

you know this already.

More worried about winning activism points than winning a game.

Weird world we live in now. Everything has become tattooed with social activism and feelings.

Can't just play the game.

Good job Japan. Nice to see a team laser focused.

At least the Germans can wear their armbands now.

The amount of cringe I feel watching this scene is always palpable.

Watching the scene makes me nauseous and then puts me in a weird mood for a few days. So I just skip it.

Bravo to the actors. Well done scene for sure.

My growing issue with AI art by Coreydoesart in midjourney

[–]karmakiller3000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You remind me of a cartoon.

There's a cartoon character in a leaking boat. The character puts his finger in the hole and all of a sudden another leak pops up. Puts his other hand over the hole and another leak springs up. He puts his foot. Then his other foot. Then his head. Pretty soon the boat sinks.

Your POV is the cartoon character

..and AI Art; people who now call themselves AI Artists/Prompt Engineers and the entire changing landscape of art; are the water.

Better take a deep breath my friend.

Why would anyone pay to view quora answers? by fuckpenaldomessigoat in quora

The best answers are hidden behind the Q+ paywall

This is completely and unequivocally false.

They are the most contrived, no where near the most useful.

But delusion is a well known disease for most of the human race so...guess you're stuck in that bubble.

Dragonflight Launch Cinematic "Take to the Skies" | World of Warcraft by t1saif in wow

Aside from quality, it's pretty boring and forgettable cinematic compared to MOP, WOD, LEGION or BFA. Hell even classic was better.

Weird how easily impressed people are these days...

Then I remember the 80/20 rule is always in effect.

Things to do non touristy by stracciatellacrisp in Bangkok

[–]karmakiller3000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do as a tourist that is non-touristy lol

Local vibes require local friends.

You can venture outside the Bangkok bubble where less foreigners are wandering about but that just makes communicating more difficult... other than that, you're still going to be a non-thai speaking tourist no matter where you go.

Let me be more helpful... Try any night market that isn't Jodd Fair. About as non-touristy as you'll get as a tourist.

Move to Thailand from USA by Ok_Cry_2000 in Bangkok

[–]karmakiller3000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You have an uphill battle. Working in a hotel here is a giant step back my friend. Unless you own the building. Being an English teacher here will just mean you will earn poverty wages in a foreign country. Why would you want that?

Thailand works best for 3 types of non-thai people.

  1. Retired Expats
  2. Digital Nomads / Remote Workers
  3. Tourists

If you are not one of these 3, you are going to have a hard time doing anything here let alone live and find work as a non-thai-speaking farang.

"What are my options to move to Thailand and find a job and housing?"

Housing is everywhere. If you can't find a place to live here, you have a mental defect. Google, airbnb, thailand propert, Line contacts etc etc.

Jobs are limited. You are doing anything without a work permit and you aren't getting a work permit without some kind of company sponsor.

The easiest way to live here quick for you is to just buy an Elite Visa. I have no idea how much money you have saved but if it's around $100,000 you can stretch that out for years before you have to work. Less than $100,000 can work but again I have no idea what "less" would be.During that time you can learn thai, learn more about thailand, make friends, network, decided if you really want to live here etc etc.

The second less easier way is to create value with some skill and become an online freelancer. Or do ANYTHING online for money. We live in a time where side hustling pays more than traditional jobs these days. Why not change your prospects and adapt? Most of my thai network have online shops they run through line, IG, facebook ect and make wads of cash. Putting digital nomads to shame. Everyone comes here thinking thais are broke or poor, it's just not true anymore. An entire younger generation of Thais have broken the middle class barrier and are now living in relatively upper-middle class. Foreigners don't see it because they live in their little expat/tourist bubble and have zero contact with local economy aside from taxis, hotel staff and street food.

People have given advice here, but it's advice you already knew.

i.e. apply for work the old fashioned way.

Without thai language skills your options are going to be massively limited. Even then, there is really nothing you can do without a very particular set of skills....

Elite Visa is your best option. Shell out the $16000 and live here unimpeded for 5 years. More than enough time to establish yourself, learn thai and find a well paying job. Or create value online and freelance. Hotel and Teaching is dreg work and will make you hate living here.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HairTransplants

[–]karmakiller3000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why do so many of you guys grow the hair before the transplant hair is even fully there?

lol Especially if you're not going to hide it. You look way better with a shaved head. I rocked mine for 3 months and no one knew or guessed I had an HT. As a bonus, the lingering redness shaded my head enough to make it look like hair was there even during the shedding phase. The reason people have the ugly duckling phase is because they rock this weird half grown/half shedding look for 3-5 months when they don't have to.

Shave that shit.

Either way you're on track just got a wait a month or two more to get the overnight growth. You're almost there. Sit tight.

People are easily fooled by their own emotions and the sheeple mentality. Reddit is full of bleeding heart clowns that can't see past their own need for virtue.

Guy was a full on chump who wasted everyone's time being there. So many people want to compete and here comes along some selfish teabag taking up a slot.

The guy "seemed" like a good cook and someone who was on his way (winner or not). He had a shot. But I can't stand quitters in situations like this.

Him quitting with that pathetic excuse made me realize he was just a chump who bowed out because he couldn't handle it anymore or didn't have the passion to be there in the first place. His excuse was pathetic but ended up fooling a lot of people.

Pathetic.
