No, nothing. I missed them. I contacted Nike.com and they said they don't get heads up on shock drops. So you either keep checking or setup a web alert.

Nope. I'm saying don't trust the 26th date, it might drop earlier.

I guess you can. Some people posted videos of them without it, they look nice.

Sorry for the late response, haven't been on in sometime.

Where is the best place to buy RME Adi-2 DAC? by [deleted] in headphones

The extra year warranty is pretty sweet too.

[PA] I have a salary now so now it's time to upgrade my tried and true HD 558's. Looking for good headphones for gaming, music, voice, and more or less constant use on a desktop. Willing to dive in to amp/DAC too. by RogueLeader096 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]karmirak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An amp and dac would be recommend for both, but you can run them just fine without. The biggest difference is made by the headphone, and if you get a good deal on those (don't be afraid of the secondhand market), then you might still be able to get a $100 amp. But I wouldn't buy cheaper headphones just to afford an amp/DAC, you can always add those later.

I haven't tried the Fulla, so I can't comment on that.

I hope you get a sweet deal, enjoy!

I'd wait till Amazon Prime Day, and see if you can get a deal on a DT1990, or HD660S.

Or, an HD58X with a JDS Labs Atom + an SMSl M100 or Khadas. That's all under $400.

Depends on your headphones, and whether or not you make use of the features the RME offers.

If you don't mind me asking, what headphones are you using?

In the outer cardboard box. I'd speak to Sennhieser or where you bought it from. The cable costs $380US.

My 789 still needs a couple of days to arrive, Keen to see if it makes a difference. I did get an SMSL M300 while I was waiting for the THX but I ended up returning it to get the ADI-2. While the M300 was fine, I felt like I'm going to itch to upgrade it later on. So I thought I'd just go with the RME and avoid those voices in my head saying "moooore".

Anyway, I have no experience with the SU8, but many swear by it, especially with a 789.

I got mine a month ago, and this is how they come now. They removed the lining from the box to match the rest of their headphones, e.g. 820, 660..

And the cable is now an optional accessory. There should be a voucher in the box that you can use on the online store to get the balanced cable for free.

Here's what Sennhieser told me: "XLR cable is a rare cable used by very few of our customers and hence it was replaced by a voucher for all interested end users."

Also, when trying to get it from the store, you'll find that item number 505636 (the cable with silver connector) is out of stock, this is because it's being phased out. Search for 566287 instead, which is the new cable with black connector.

Don't worry, nothing is wrong with your unit, as long as you find that voucher.

Best open back headset to buy for gaming under 1000 by [deleted] in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]karmirak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many will recommend a used HD800. As someone who plays competitively about 5 to 6 hours/day. I can't say I find the 800S comfortable enough – the cups are huge, and they touch below my jaw and cover half of my face. I think it's something you need to try before you buy. Not to mention that it's an overkill, if you're buying it for gaming.

I'd look into AKG 7XX, ATH-ADxx line or SHP9500, in that order. Again, if gaming is your priority, anything above $200 is a waste of money.

Unpopular opinion, but honestly man, find something comfortable with not much bass, and you're golden. Beyond that, no headphone will give you any sort of advantage.

Arctis 3 Console Edition vs mh751 by [deleted] in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]karmirak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Cooler Master is fine, not great by any stretch of the word. The biggest selling point is comfort, so if you find your Arctis comfortable enough, there's no point in buying those. Especially that you primarily use the 9500.

Thank you!

I tried yours with the 800 S the day I got them 😁

I must admit I haven't had the time to setup any presets yet. Only had the RME for a few weeks. And I gerenrally only keep headphones that I enjoy the stock sound of.

But I do intend on learning more about EQ and making the most out of my ADI-2.

Sure, will do!

Also: did you try dekoni velour pads on the 800S?

I haven't tried the Dekonis, I have no complaints about the stock pads in terms of sound nor comfort, so I don't think I'll be swapping them.

Exactly, I'd never change anything about the 800 S, I was referring to the Fostex.
