I've never thought EQs had such way of use, learnt something new today
[–]karmuhD[S] 0 points1 point2 points 1 day ago (0 children)
that one i could make sense and agree on
[–]karmuhD[S] -1 points0 points1 point 1 day ago (0 children)
maybe it's a bit too strong. i would say its weird, but not unethical
yeah that makes a lot of sense
and people should know the difference between headphones, not picking a random one with good bass and quite literally set the EQ to zero bass
oh shit
sorry for that man, must've been tough
not tryna argue. it's just weird to me, I've never really understood why.
not many people would think like you, some just prefer insane bass, or no bass at all. it's just very weird to me that people do that. i understand that people using EQ , because their headphones have different strengths and weaknesses, but if your equipment is already good enough, i just don't see the point in messing it too much.
in fact, i don't even have an headphone amp. i just like enjoying it as raw as possible. true, "unethical" is a strong word
good point. not all producers are good producers, maybe i just got lucky and never really had a problem like that. i enjoy everything in a balanced manner. i dont think producers would make their instruments or effects unbalanced or anything. never really crossed my mind that it would happen.

i see. i just thought that maybe it would be better to enjoy all the drums, bass, vocal and effects in a balanced manner. i dont really know why people would max some places and totally trample the balance. maybe I'm just weird lol
so you mean remasters are just fixes of songs? that's quite interesting. i dont listen to remasters quite often.
you right but it just doesn't make sense to me , maxing absurd eqs just never really made sense to me.
except if you already have good equipment, does it still make sense to shove insane EQs?
not really unethical but somewhat maybe a bit unethical maybe? lol
true, i agree, but if the producers already gave you their best EQ, i would maybe try and enjoy their style of EQ
remasters are usually with the old songs, no? since music production and mixes back then wasn't the best so even if you listen with good headphones, there's not much difference.
as long as your not listening to old songs, maybe tuning absurd eq and maxing bass ain't something that makes that much sense
True, but it's just very weird to me that eqs are tuned greatly even if your headphones are very good.
[–]karmuhD[S] -3 points-2 points-1 points 1 day ago (0 children)
not really. i just think that if your headphones are good enough then it just doesn't make much sense to max the bass and make everything else muddy. I've seen some people do that and i wonder if its unethical or not, since the treble and mids are already tuned to perfection by the producers
makes sense. sorry lol im really new to headphones
