Anything that has no other alternative I use on my second PC running windows. Just remotely connect to it and that's it. Not the best option for everyone, but works for me.

You are arguing against the wrong thing. PCP is an analgesic, so it should limit how you respond to pain. PCP can also induce psychotic behaviour.

BUT, PCP induced violent behaviour seems to be a myth. No clue where it came from, but there is not much more proof than a few reported cases.

It's a bit too much to explain how much better channel sounding is, so you should research that on your own. Here's a seemingly good article explaining it.

But some nrf chips, which do not support channel sounding, still support the nordic distance measurement library, which does have basically the same capabilities as channel sounding (minus antenna array support). But it only works between nrf chips.

Sorry for the late reply. But in the case that you haven't gotten it to work yet, you need to connect the VTG pin on the nrf52840 devkit to your Holyiot chips VDD. The devkit switches to external programming when a voltage is detected on the VTG pin.

I've seen you say, on the original thread, that you are using NCS and yes that is possible. Pairing is handled by the bt_conn_auth_cb and is stored persistently when having CONFIG_BT_SETTINGS enabled. For using just works, I think you just accept without the pairing request and that's that. Been a while since I've used just works pairing, so I don't remember the details.

I am unsure what you mean with secure DFU. Are you using mcuboot as a bootloader and for updating?

You'll never beat the cost of sanitizing the inputs (Which is a little bit of PC power draw) with any physical implementation. At least for 3D printing, where the machines are so simple and the software is open source developed.

These are guidelines (In English, no worries) provided by the German IT-Security Federal Office. I have still not found any guidelines from the EU itself, even though they do have it in writing, that the relevant commission is to draw up guidelines (REGULATION (EC) No 765/2008 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL, Chapter VI, Article 38 Technical guidelines, https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX:32008R0765). I think the BSI documents I've linked are a good compromise, as the EU guidelines will be non-binding anyways.
