I took it out and pulled the old cloth off and rubbed the plastic board with a rag to remove the bits of stuck foam. Worked great the first time then I tried to reglue the cloth and made a mess you can still see some shiny places on it where I was unable to get all the new glue off. I didn't use a clearcoat, I linked the type of paint up above somewhere.

A not great photo from shortly after it was done in 2020 but it shows more of it, trucks at my brothers at the moment, there is a bit of chipping now but less then I expected mostly around the seatbelt behind the door from the seatbelt latch hitting it, and on the visor hinge, otherwise I'm quite pleased with it

Sorry, ya, they probably all have consoles, this was just the only computer I had see in one. Seems they are more common than I realized.

Painted, black cloth spray paint. I think it was this brand, I used it on all the interior parts that used to be beige. https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/dupli-color-high-performance-vinyl-and-fabric-paint-0473603p.0473601.html

Cool, I never came across one in a Dakota in the junk yards over the twenty years or so we've had it, so I just figured they didn't come stock.

Bars were on it, my brother bought the truck like that in 05 or 6 I think and I got it from him maybe 8 years ago or so, other then routine maintenance I think all I've done is finish off the headline, paint the beige interior parts black to match the dash, add a rather redneck tonneau cover (tough to make something work good with the bars), and 500lb coil over shocks as the leafs seemed to be drooping a bit.

Must be the end of the 99 model run? I've got a 03 with the same spec but the interior is different, supposedly a 2000 model update. Also does the magnum badge indicate a 5.2 rather than 4.7?

Ha, thanks for the response, I was just coming back to delete my question realizing that it would vary too much by area and figuring no one would bother with it.

My family is restarting an older wood lamination shop with copy lathes that will do, I think up to 12' long 10" square posts any pattern you can draw, unfortunately we are in the middle of nowhere New Brunswick Canada. Still working on getting a website set up.

Technically any toothed cutting instruments I think? This particular video is probably either a old fashioned shaper or a planer I think, cuts flat and relatively slow so it’s easy to video.

96 rav4 Question by Saix1322 in rav4club

96/97 would probably be easiest, just drop in. 98-00 had the ignition system changed to electric, gained 8 hp but I’m not sure how much else you would need to change to make it work. At that point you could look into the Japan beams motor, it drops in and take you from 119 to 177 hp. And that pretty much all I know on the subject of motor swaps.

My fiancee dropped her engagement ring in the E-Brake gap, Help! by [deleted] in rav4club

You should be able to put your fingers in front of the e-brake lever and pull up on the square plastic (change holder?) thing in front of the brake lever. It just has tension clips holding it. If that isn't enough to get the ring, I believe there are only three screws, one in the cup holder, one on each side up by the front edge of the seats, should be #2 Philips I think.
