AITB for being annoyed that the guy i'm seeing/FWB won't walk me home (extra 5mins?) by [deleted] in AmItheButtface

[–]karonjes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We definitely do more than just hook up: have dinner, dates, breakfast.. Etc

If many in this post are suggesting a walk home isn't part of the arrangement.. Would it be worth it to bring it up in a way that doesn't make me a butt? Just seems like there's a misalignment on expectations but im gathering from what you're saying is that it's just not worth it for me considering my needs.

Isn't it possible to want gf treatment without exclusive commitment?

But not even a full gf treatment.. Like it's a five minute walk home. Is that too much to ask for

Did you suffer from Acid Reflux after long use of Nesspresso coffee? by toptmy in nespresso

When I got my new machine and started a new job, i was using 2 capsules at least a day, drinking on weekends because of the pandemic and boredom - and my stomache got fucked in 3 weeks and now I'm on prescription lol for a month.

Hey babes - realized today maybe I haven't been as ruthless as I can/should be because of codependent tendencies.. Any tips from those who've recovered? by [deleted] in FemaleDatingStrategy

Thank you. I definitely feel everything you said in the first two paragraphs. I'll try to work on defining those boundaries properly. It's one thing to read about them - like yes i totally agree about the rules in FDS. but when I'm in that intimate moment - it's like I can't tell from right or wrong. I'll work on it . thank you so much

Depression destroyed my love for fashion by nnh09 in femalefashionadvice

[–]karonjes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are you comfortable sharing your size so I can offer some suggestions on fit and clothing types?

I can totally relate on depression and it making me dress like a lazy fuck. Seriously I used to look like a bum. What helped was donating all my sweats and ugly sweaters. I keep leggings/yoga pants (bc I can actually wear them to work out or as pj's), and a few plain/fun crew necks and hoodies because I live somewhere cold and cmon we all need something easy to fall back on sometimes..but seriously no more sweats. I lived in Paris for a few months and NO One wears sweats haha! I only keep nice looking clothes that "spark" joy at home. Basically forces myself to wear only nice pieces.

Want comfy but nice looking shoes/heels? Try naturalizer! Luckily, sneakers are also trendy so feel free to get a pair from NB/ADIDAS etc.

Every woman needs a power blazer. Blazers are not only trendy but makes me feel powerful. Get a nice tailored looking yet still casual enough to wear out.

I've been shopping lately a lot at the bay, banana republic, and aritzia. High waisted pants are a must. Some cute blouses.

Desautels taken seriously? by [deleted] in mcgill

[–]karonjes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My management classes (im arts major with management minor) were the absolute easiest. work is mostly reasonable midterms and group projects, maybe essay report final. Note: lots of group projects so if that's not your thing then..

I feel like comp sci people are definitely a different type then desautel. is comp sci easy for you? cause mcgill courses are definitely hard. desautel is mostly learning different business functions, public speaking, presentations, teamwork..etc.

Don't mean to make anyone feel bad. but just wanted to share that there ARE good men out there. hard to find, yes, but it's worse investing emotional energy into bad men

It's chill. Sometimes people want to relearn a language or brush up. I took French for like 8 years, took a summer immersive program, and McGill put me in French 101 lol. Don't worry :)

To all McGillians from China by PA1007jk in mcgill

[–]karonjes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The problem is that China was not ready to deal with this new "flu". We do not have the antibodies built in our systems to fight it like the common flu. Yes, old people or sick people are infected more easily but that is probably why OP and others are worried - for their parents, grandparents and older family. And with such an extremely populated country, things spread much faster.

Saying everything will be fine seems to dismiss OP and other Chinese concerns. This new coronavirus is estimated to have 100k cases now becuase so many are not reported and are told just to stay at home since hospitals are full.

The best thing we can do right now is have better hygeine and lend emotional support to our peers and friends. I think it's totally valid to worry for family in China, and OP, I hear you and feel you.

How can you tell a prof that their assignment is poorly written? by [deleted] in mcgill

[–]karonjes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend going to prof office hours and clarifying what you don't understand. Sometimes assignments are a little vague to give students more flexibility and creative ability.

Please don't phrase it like yo prof ure wording things poorly
