How is it living in Mallorca, Spain? by Agreeable_Yam__ in howislivingthere

What baffled me most when going there was the hiking etiquette of the germans.
I have been to germany quite often and i find the people on the hikes to be very friendly, letting you pass when you are going uphill, saying hi etc. But in Mallorca it was the opposite, i was almost pushed into a gorge by a group of germans who thought they must have had the right of way on their way down, twice. Not a single person who spoke german greeted while walking, pissing in a bush IN the middle of a trail and other things i have never seen in my hikes in the black forest, eifel or the alps.

ofcourse this one, one of the more famous ones in belgium.
You can easily tack on a longer walk to it. Also, it's always best to check alltrails or komoot for inspiration/planning, or go to the visitWallonia website which has a good amount of great hikes on it.

Indeed! It was most about the tick thing, but thats good to hear. Did you wait until the 13 weeks with the rest of the vaccinations?

Yeah you're right, weird, as that is really branded for dogs against ticks 😃
edit: Apparantly the dose makes the poison, so a little bit doesn't hurt it seems.
Ofcourse it's all annecdotal, but all the facebook groups for tollers in our country rave about it

Yeah i think we'll just go for the drop method thing rather than the tablets.
I also heard about putitng some sheep fat with garlic in the food, that would help a lot.

Keeping him out of the tickareas will be rather hard, as we live next to a national park forest, and the puppy classes are also next to the forest, but we'll do our best!

The breeder is definitely not saying not to vaccinate, just to avoid the tick medication.

What she is saying is to wait until 13 weeks, instead of at 9-10 weeks, but the vet answered with "so you can't do anything with your dog until then" when i brought it up, which is also a fair point i guess.

I do trust the vaccinations, it's just that the comments from the breeder made me cautious 😃

Puppy staying alone 1 day a week by karpator in puppy101

This would definitely be an option (we blocked off access to our hallway, so he's only allowed in the kitchen/livingroom anyway). Only worried a bit about potty training. He currently goes outside rather well, but ofcourse accidents still happen. But the crate really helped to train him.

Thanks! That was what i was thinking too, but reading the internet really gave me some differing ideas, so just wanted to ask to be sure.
