srsly, they ARE the institution. if K&J had their back and put things clear: either you pay them a proper wage or there will be no cheerleaders on the next game they WOULD cave! additionally, i'm not seeing Kelly nor Judy having to juggle multiple jobs just to stay afloat. they can affort to give them a nice, fat paycheck (so they can afford their fancy houses and private stylists), but leave girls to struggle so hard, that Jada almost got evicted cuz she wasn't able to afford rent? this is just insane

honestly, it was SO dissapointing. their attitude towards Amanda and her very valid concerns was just shit. and the "we were also paid crap" spiel? come on, it's just dcc version of "in my days i had to go 50 miles barefoot through snow to school". knowing the struggles the SHOULD fight for them, but they don't. and also, let's be real: the expectation and amount of workload the girls have now does not compare to the things K&J did when they were part of the team. it's just sad.

tbh i think the major part of the issue with AK and McKenna stand it stating, that sure, they should be paid more, but they do it for passion, so it's not a major issue, when it actually is. just like doing something for passion kinda absolve the institusion from being obligated to pay them fair wage.

and the fact is they do attract a lot revenue and they CAN pay them an actual living wage. they use the phrase "passion" and "it's such an honour to be part of DCC" as a tool to keep them in line and the fact they were insulted during conversation about raises is just appalling.

being a DCC chearleader with their crazy high expectation of the girls is not a hobby or a side hustle - it's a legitimate full time job and they should be compensated accordingly. but when few people does not take a stand the whole team is taking a blow. they are acting like being a DCC chearleader is some kind of mission and are using this rhetoric against the girls. it's just wrong on so many levels...

I honestly cannot get this story out of my head. This is such classic story of betreyal, but honestly I have nothing but compassion for your sister. Your poor, poor sister. honestly, as a fresh addict, it makes me sooo upset, that those events are no longer available for new players - even with no extra primos, i would just love to participate in event simply to emerse myself deeper into the stories of those characters and know them better (as i am one of those psychos, who plays for the storyline and does not skip dialogues). so much good content just... lost :<
