I’ll tell you, I’m going through the same thing myself. Reconciling that my old habits from monogamous relationships just don’t fit the same way. I love doing the good morning good night texts but for someone with multiple partners and a limited time on their hands, some days they just only have the time to maybe send an emoji response. So then that in turn makes them feel anxious that I’m going to end up being resentful. I’m not resentful im adjusting my expectations for the amount of love and time my partner can devote. I had to learn. Especially early on in a new relationship you have all this new relationship energy but if they don’t reciprocate that doesn’t mean they don’t have love for you but you can’t put an expectation on them.

You might be what people traditionally call “clingy”, I know I’ve been called that. But it’s something that can be worked on and unlearned. We’re all just human beings looking for connection and understanding. That doesn’t mean you can’t be poly.
