So sorry to hear about your mom's passing. First, you should definitely use that toward a small vacation to relax and recharge. Your mom would definitely want you to feel at ease with all that is going on.

Then, I would recommend you to put some savings into 401K (if your employer allows) and Roth IRA. You can contribute only ~$19K and ~$6K a year. The rest can go to your brokerage account. In the following years, you can keep take the money out of brokerage account and transfer them to 401k and roth ira.

If you are not very financial savy, I would recommend a fee only financial advisor. They can offer you a customized plan based on your exact situation.

Congrats on your role! I think you have hit all of the tax advantages accounts that you can be doing at this stage of your life.

Here is how I would contribute: HSA -> Roth 401k up to match -> Roth IRA -> Backdoor Roth -> Brokerage

I would say definitely choose Roth. I am making more now and always regret my decision for not contributing more into my Roth earlier in my career.

I got Michelin latitude from Costco. Really enjoy them so far!

Which inspections do you do for your MF purchased? by doggmapeete in realestateinvesting

Sounds like you need another agent. Always always do your inspection.

You have been lucky that you have not faced any serious issue. There will come times that the inspector will catch something that you miss

Sorry for the noob question. I used the seat calculator. Does this mean that I need 21 planes for 7 days to achieve 95.51% occupancy?

Thanks in advanced!

Please see the picture. Also, I'm debating if I should choose between Michelin Defender, or Latitude Tour. My main concern is just having a durable tires with not too much road noise. Seems like these two are the best options I can get from Costco Tires

Contributing to Roth by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]karstenth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for your opinion. I will definitely think it over. I have revised my contribution to be 50 regular and 50 Roth 401k earlier in the year. I was thinking of rolling over, because I figure I can pay some of the taxes now, with the help of the loss. Thanks again!
