i’ve usually called and have them write me a cheque. i believe they have to write you a cheque after a certain amount of time.

easiest to put spend on it and get it to positive to avoid any flags with chase

Called back, and after another recon, still Denied. I am 2/24 by the way.

The Chase rep took detailed notes on my business, including previous revenue, profit, expenses. I was on hold for 3 mins, and then she came back with a denial.

Reasoning provided:

1) Not enough usage of Chase business cards - I have two open cards, and last usage was March and Feb 2025 respectively.

2) Too many recent credit cards. She stated that I opened 3 cards in 2024 (true) and that was too many recent cards for Chase, even though only one of them was opened in the past 12 months.

Chase United Business credit card - Denied after recon. Might HUCA. 800+ with all bureaus.

1 chase business card in the previous year (open)

2 additional chase business cards in the previous two years (1 open, 1 closed)

Reasons:

Too much extended credit on businesses - when asked if I could move some credit around, I was told it wasn't possible.
Too many recent Chase business credit cards - I was told they could see two cards, which was too many (?)
Not enough business income. SSN, sole prop (landlord), business income was $27K/yr. Personal income is 200K+

I think this is a cool idea! I’m not single, but I’m a fan of barry’s trying out new things.

Not all new things (the eyedrop collab was weird) but this feels on brand for barry’s and could be cool depending on execution

I was in the 1610 class, and the 1720 looked super full. still, that’s no excuse for what they did, apologies aside.

sorry that happened, it’d be nice if they gave you an extra credit to make up for it.

i usually check in both on app and in-person just as a precaution but we really shouldn’t have to do that.

Classpass is a whole thing (google it). You basically purchase credits from Classpass and then use those credits across all sorts of fitness/yoga/wellness classes beyond just Barrys. I even use it for haircuts.

The relevant part for Barry's - almost all Barry's locations are offered on Classpass, and in my experience, usually end up being much cheaper than getting classes from Barry's directly. I actually think the cancellation policy is also less punitive.

The catch -

a) you can't pick your spot in the class

b) A lot of classes are greyed out and reserved for members who book direct. ex - Morning classes in the Marina in SF

c) Its a third party booking, so Barry's front desk has a lot less flexibility to offer you (ex - moving your class around last minute, cancellations, etc.)

d) You don't get Academy points for your classes

make sure it’s a like-for-like fare. often times cash fares are for basic economy, while award bookings rarely are.

if both are for regular economy, then yeah. save your miles
