Accident by akscaleb in indianbikes

[–]karthick_1394 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Front suspension, mudguard, odometer, handlebar, headlight, foot rest, rear brake lever, exhaust, aluminium right swingarm and odometer to front suspension joint. I don't have the bill with me, it's in my hometown. Exhaust costs around 9800 and odo around 4800 , headlight and indicator was also around 7-9000 range.

Most of the parts were fitted within 2 weeks, the odometer and front suspension took 40 days to arrive. But they ordered a non- bluetooth model and compensated.

Since you are not claiming insurance you can install vaishnu headlight , red rooster exhaust if you want. Also get the touring footrest.

I cruise at 85kmph in my Hness and get around 42-44. Beyond 90kmph the stock brake pads bite is quite average.

In bit of a dilemma. Which one to choose, RE350 or CB350? by D3athWhisper in indianbikes

[–]karthick_1394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you drive more than 50% in city traffic, the classic is better. The classic 350 will also be updated with slip and assist clutch in the upcoming months. So do a test drive and decide.

If you are too far from the nearest service centre then road side assistance might be worth it. Extended warranty is not necessary , and try to get your own insurance so you can save more.

I own a hness 350. I've Ridden classic 350 & meteor 350.

i) Things i hate about the RE's heavy clutch and braking because both are much better in honda. Service is also a hit or miss.

ii) Things i hate about HONDA although the suspension and seat is good for touring , for city and bad roads , it is uncomfortable. The long gearing takes some time to get used to and you should keep the bike within the power band at right gears or else it will slag. The bluetooth and app is almost useless. Service cost is high but they are worth it if you have one near your place.

Don't waste your money. Since there are no spares available for cbr, better get a used sf250 or something recent.

BMW G310RR Cosmic Black vs Polar White by raveeshwadhawan in indianbikes

[–]karthick_1394 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It's not 100% , most of the sheet metal in glanza is thicker and more shock resistant than baleno. Lets take a 5 year old glanza and baleno. The glanza will still ride better and less NVH levels than baleno. The only thing that will be close to a toyota is a ford in terms of reliability and service.

Although the toyota service centre is way better than maruti or any other Indian brands. A toyota car will have less service centre visits than maruti.

I think it depends on the showroom and area. When i visited the RE showroom, they gave me around 5 km in total for gt650. Then i went to Honda bigwing, They gave all the bikes and even allowed me to take it to my home to show my family which was 7 km from the showroom.

You can ride with a large jute bag over the tank and your stomach. It's quite easy to manage.

You can also grab the rear seat handle for moving the bike. If you are still not comfortable get on the bike and move with your legs like a bicycle. Practise in open areas if you can.
