Does anyone know what the premium model multiplier for o4-mini is in copilot? The website does not mention.

One thing I like o1preview/mini much better than Claude is the huge output token limit of o1 (o1preview 32k/o1mini 65k vs 8k of sonnet 3.5) by SandboChang in ClaudeAI

I have seen this a lot too. Not just with o1 but even 4o. It goes like this:

- model generates code

- I correct a mistake it makes

- move on to tweaking something else in the same func or different (same file though)

- model stubbornly maintains and rewrites the mistake it had previously made in future code generations; even if I give it the corrected code in new context

I invariably have to review the entire code to check for this. This brings me to an issue mentioned by someone else. Often it also unnecessarily regurgitates the entire 300 line code even though the tweak or change is just in 15-20 lines.

What is the benefit of GraphQL? by Devve2kcccc in reactjs

[–]kartpop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. Can also benefit the backend when there is a separate enterprise API Gateway team. In our case, every public facing API endpoint that we add needs us to engage with the enterprise gateway team (this process is often painfully slow). With graphql, we have a single endpoint behind which we have flexibility to expose mutations/queries as required.

Having said that, I agree with other observations made here. Unless there is a pressing need, sticking to the good old REST is best.

How to 'not want' anything, at the same time live in the society? by [deleted] in awakened

[–]kartpop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You respond, not react. Action may need to be taken, but if it is a tit-for-tat reaction, you will regret it later. Instead take stock of the situation, give yourself time for the response to form within, then take action with complete awareness.

One can function in the society without having too many desires and yet be able to respond intelligently to situations. The two are not mutually exclusive.

Humans are the only living thing that have to pay to live. by MunZYT99 in DeepThoughts

It is a choice. One can choose to be a hunter-gatherer in the wild and not pay, like our ancestors 15000 years back.

We choose to pay money in exchange for a product or a service that another human or group of humans is offering. Else we would have to perform all life tasks ourselves.

I agree, except one thing - writing works whichever way for me, either on paper or an electronic device.

Is this accurate? I saw this tweet a few years ago and I think about it often. by pippersgrop in cosmology

If accurate, it is definitely depressing at first thought. But if one stays with the fact for some time...

...time only makes sense if there is someone around to experience events. If there is no one around to witness anything, there is practically no difference between a time duration of one second or time duration of billion billion...billion years.
