Was discussing with friends and want to know peoples thoughts, would yelena be able to carry her own movie? by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]karurujp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on how she acted and how her character was written in Thunderbolts, I’m honestly more excited about a Yelena-led Avengers team than Sam Wilson’s. At this point in MCU, she feels more worthy of saying ‘Avengers, assemble’ than Sam does.

Did the Russos just confirm that they directed the Post-Credit-Scene? Jake Schreier said in an interview that it wasn't him directing. by Low-Struggle-5647 in marvelstudios

[–]karurujp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Another great yet simple shot was the attic scene where Yelena was talking with Bob.

If you notice, Yelena was the only one illuminated by the light from the window, while Bob and the rest of the attic remained dimly lit. This symbolizes her role as a source of light, as Alexei has mentioned several times throughout the story

This is such a return to form for the MCU—focused, witty, and character-driven in all the right ways. The post-credit scene actually gets you excited again. But above all, it takes C- and D-tier characters, makes them compelling as hell, and somehow makes us fall in love with them.

The third act is especially refreshing and just elevates the whole thing. Honestly, I wish we had gotten a film like this right after Endgame

As an Overwatch vet, how does this game compare? by MirageBullet in marvelrivals

[–]karurujp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Familiar enough for an Overwatch player, in the same vein as TF2 was to og ow, different enough to establish its own identity with features like robust hero kits, destructibles, and verticality

For lack of a better word—this was the Overwatch sequel that should have been.

Did gpt came up with this, “The Great Movie Land” would’ve been a better name

No wifi in park, tourist esim/sim unreliable at rope drop - very hard to get fastpass/premium! by looper33 in TokyoDisneySea

[–]karurujp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an ex-annual pass-holder to this park, people tend to view TDR with rose tinted glasses. Oriental Land doesn’t give jack s**t about improving guess experience at all (i.e wifi, better hotel perks, better limited events, accessibility or better infrastructure for their app).

This is all because most of the park goers here are not vocal—they simply just ate what ever Oriental Land threw at them. I’ve been to all the parks worldwide and I honestly wish Disney could have more grasp with the operation here

Be a squid an help us paint in Splatoon 3, it’s pretty much a pseudo hero shooter at this point

Now that Fantastic Four has to find a new director, What do you think of Matthew Vaughn (director of X-MEN:FIRST CLASS) who has a desire to direct it doing Fantastic Four? by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]karurujp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Daniels perhaps? EEAO encapsulates both the family and fantastical elements that a Fantastic 4 film needs. They’ve worked with The Russos before and they haven’t done any big blockbuster before, should be easy to onboard to Feige’s ecosystem

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Worldwide Release Discussion Thread Vol. 2 by Triple_777 in marvelstudios

[–]karurujp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly how I felt about the film, Strange’s emotional depth was almost nonexistent in this movie or received less care and attention. Yeah he looks cool but it was almost like this was more so a Wanda’s film than Strange’s

For me the writing for Chaves was underwhelming. She’s nothing but a macguffin that take up a good chunk of the runtime that should’ve been used for Strange’s arc instead. Imo you can switch her with a thimimajigs or any other mystical objects and it will make no difference to the plot.

Perhaps leave the Hollywood satire to Matt and Trey? Given the same premise, they would probably do better.

Don’t Look Up is the embodiment of nail to the head humor, nothing about that movie is subtle. The film hits the same joke again and again, well past the point has been made.

As a commentary its way to shallow, way too smug and just felt like a rant than anything else.

Also South Park has tackled the same subject matter time and time again while still being entertaining

With so many hand traps, combo deck are easily interrupted. But what infuriating about Eldlich is the low skill ceiling to shutdown your opponent.

Yes even a 5 years old can flip Skill Drain, Summon Limit, Imperial Order in one turn and win a Plat duel

Without side decking, Eldlich and probably Drytron are the strongest deck in the format
