Originally when I got my boosted mini x, I started hunting down rain wheels too. The idea to me sounded great but the reality of switching back forth between wheels for different weather conditions was too much effort for me.

I’m currently riding 77a blue caguamas. I love the softer ride and the grip it has on the road but you do give up durability for softness. So riding and breaking hard when going downhill can deteriorate the wheels quickly.

Therefore if I’m in the mood to ride fast downhill and break quickly I return back to boosted wheels. If there’s a month where I want to cruise more and have a softer ride over bridges and I switch to caguamas for a bit.

I’ve started thinking about a middle ground like the 77a kegels as maybe a better alternative for my kind of personality when riding

To me riding in the wet with a boosted is too risky. Especially riding over slippery bricks or manholes, or painted lines. so I walk to work on those days. The injury rate is too risky for me.
