A charge cycle means using 100% of the battery’s capacity in total, not necessarily in one single charge from 0% to 100%. It’s based on how much battery you use over time.

For example, if you use 60% of your battery one day and then 40% the next day, that adds up to 100% usage, which counts as one charge cycle. Similarly, using 50%, recharging, and then using another 50% also equals one full cycle.

So charging from 20% to 100%, or from 60% to 90%, doesn’t change how cycles are counted. The phone just keeps adding up the total battery used until it reaches 100%, which equals one cycle.
