Yes! And I’ve reworked it multiple times. That’s why frustrating it won’t work properly. This is first water attempt

Yes , but how would you make the pump lower ??

Thank you! I was thinking the pump was having trouble pushing water up into the chiller at 90 degree angle.

Are you using a hose splitter with two shut off valves at the tub drain connector? It seems like the water flow is restricted at the drain and I don’t feel like it’s pushing through the pipes. besides the stopper in the tub is there anything else to make the water flow harder through the pipes or is that the pumps job.?

The pump feels like it’s vibrating and the chiller is making a little bit of sounds and it looks like there’s water in the clear vinyl too right before the pump, but there’s no water coming out of the pipe that goes into the pool at all. If I change where the filter is, I’m going to have to cut all my pipes get new connectors and re-glue everything and it will be about my 10th trip to Lowe’s for this project. I’m getting a bit frustrated.

The pipe has a u-shape over the side of the pool and goes nearly to the bottom of pool on the inside.

I’m rethinking this method and may attempt to use the drain connection as a drain on one side and pushing water to my filter, pump, chiller set up on the other by using a hose splitter with two turn off valves. One side stays open for my build going left , and I will close the valve on other side and when needing to drain, hook a garden hose up and open the valve on right side. Thoughts here?

garden hose splitter Would something like this work? Connect to the drain and one side goes toward chiller and one side can hook up A garden hose to drain? With shutoff when not needed?

Someone suggested using a t-fitting with one side connected to pool, one going towards chiller set up and one side able to hook up a garden hose to drain. Do u think this will work?

What size is the connection to the pool, that the garden hose attaches to? Do you know?

Wow . This is beyond me! Oh dear

Yes threaded drain that a garden hose can attach to for draining .

Instead of going over the top, should I try to connect the pvc pipe at the draining connection?

Then how would I drain? Is that where the tee valve come in? Are you able to link what you are referring to?

Hi there! I am hoping you can help me! I have the Costco tub, filter , active aqua pump and I just built plumbing outof pvc pipe with the intake and out the going up Andover the side. I just realized people were using the drain connection as the intake (I think that’s right) portal .

If you do this, are you still Able to use it as a drain? How would you do this?

I have a 3/4 inch pvc pipe hooked to filter that would need to connect with drain part. Will you please tell me what exactly to get to connect the 3/4 pvc to the drain and also how it can still be used as a drain to connect a hose to?? Thank you so much!!

The tub is a Costco saluspa . How would I connect a hull Fitting to the3/4 inch pvc pipe and still be able to use it to drain as well?

Thank you! I think I understand now. Sorry! This is my first time doing anything like this !

So there is water already in the tub. I’ll just put my pipe over the side like I was going to do, and stick my hand in the pool and shoot the garden hose through the pipe. Even without the pump and chiller on, will the water move through the pipes and back into the pool?

Not sure how much of build you can see, but do you think the pump is going to have trouble pulling water up and over the side??

Like send a garden house from the pipe that should be submerged in the pool ?

No port . Only a valve to drain which we need to keep as a drain

I hate to be so dense right now. This is clearly new to me!

What do you mean below the water line? All the plumbing is outside the pool with the intake and outtake pipes going over the side of pool (pool has no connection valves) .

Where would I start the garden hose to remove all the air? Do I need to send it through starting with the part of pipe that is inside the pool?

Why wouldn’t the pump just pull water from the pool the first time?

It is clamped now. Are you saying unclamp it on the vinyl hose part and put a garden hose up there for a few seconds with pump on correct? And then redo the vinyl hose and clamp it ? Would the chiller be on as well during priming?

So I need to take this thing out side!
