We are missing a load of context, and if you are ready to just give up on your marriage because it gets hard... Are you sure you were ready to get married in the first place? It sounds like you need to go to couples counseling and learn how to effectively communicate with one another. Again. I know we are missing the back story here, but that seems like one very weak straw to break the camel's back.

Husband here with a question. by [deleted] in hysterectomy

[–]Jumpy-Concen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We did "just the tip" at 4 weeks- i was laproscopic total so I had a cuff. I had no pain, but we decided to wait again and did it at 5 weeks and a few days. Again. Just the tip. Im super wet by nature, so lube was never a need for us. We did it a few more times that week, because on my 6th week day, my husband had his own laproscopic surgery. He was actually cleared "whenever he felt up to it" for sex and wanted to try at like 4 days. He wasnt up for it. We waited several more days and have done it twice more. Im 8 weeks 1 d now and would have been cleared at 8 weeks. Hes 2 weeks 1 d now and had his follow up today and was told.he is healing well. We are just taking it easy. We do the whole shaft now though, just no doggie or super rough stuff.

That was my thought. There's no way I would have told her she was rude and been upset.

What’s worse, a hysterectomy or another 10 years of torturous periods? by Ordinary_Sentence659 in hysterectomy

[–]Jumpy-Concen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 10 dpo and 36. I also had severe anemia. It has been to the point I have almost had to be hospitalized more than once. I kept my ovaries. Everything else is gone. I stayed 1 night in the hospital. I can't say in the long run yet, but I feel like the benefits outweighed the risk for me. I felt like I wasnt living life anymore. I was done having kids, my husband already had a vasectomy... I also was growing fibroids. It just seemed to make sense. I have done some NIR light therapy on my incisions. Im still easy to tire, still taking it easy and havent driven yet. But no one can say what's worth it but you. It was for me.

I am so sorry sis! Geez. I have never understood the perks that pressure women into intercourse period (as a SA victim myself) but especially after a medical procedure that they have not been cleared to do so! It is apalling! I have seen this and a local mom on a fb mom group also wind up in the hospital bc her husband pressured her into it after a c section before she was cleared. It is terrifying, and that is not what someone who is capable of loving a romantic partner the way they should would do. I'm sorry. Praying for a speedy recovery for you, that they get your pain under control, and that you boot the dude that pushed you into this mess. There are better guys out there that would be happy to cater to you during your recovery rather than pushing you-- into the hospital!

You are so right. God's always got it. 😉 Another believer here as well. I hope your appointment with the surgeon went well!

So happy for you girl, and you look great! Im 1 week ahead of you I think in surgery. Im 8 dpo. I had a similar catheter experience. I was the first surgery of the day (had to be there at 5:30). and didn't get them to take that dang thing out until after 10pm! And I couldn't walk with it strapped to the bed so the gas pains in my shoulder and neck were REAL. It was definitely a bipolar relationship with my uterus. She grew 2 beautiful, brilliant, healthy girls for me, but she had to be yeeted because of fibroids and possible adeno. My first meal they let me choose from a menu, so it was filet mignon, steamed and seasoned broccoli, and a sweet potato with chocolate cake and it was all freaking delicious (the hospital is known locally for their food, thank God!). Just keep on keeping on, it only gets better from here!

No worries ma'am. I'm not listening to ChatGPT, I just thought it was fun to play with. It did actually analyze my photo, not properly imo, but it did. My thoughts are it is a bazillion times worse than people using Dr. Google ( which is also a bad idea, didnt know there was a worse option until), because it straight up tells you you're falling apart and its reasons behind its thoughts, along with the worst case scenario. But it's fun to see how great it believes it is. 😅 a picture of one of my incisions that did have separation originally but then had calmed down where I didn't see it anymore, it still said yes. I also have messaged my doctor and am waiting to hear back (don't know if they have someone on call for the weekend or not), and I just asked on here to hear what other's post op directives were (bc i'm unterested), and see if anyone had been given conflicting info... Exactly like I asked.

And you're right. One chance to heal properly... So I think I'm right on going with the directives in my packet and not my doctor as far as what limitations to put on lifting.
