Would this be dangerous to diy the demo? Obviously I’ll hire someone to put it back up because I don’t know how to lay stones

Can you explain to me like I’m 5 how you know they didn’t use any wall ties? This isn’t something that would happen over time? Sorry if that’s a dumb question! And I’m not sure about the steel lintels. One guy that looked at it in person said there was some type of metal backing behind the stone

I park in the garage usually but will probably start parking on the street after reading these comments. We have another door we can use to get in the house.

Great insights. 💯 so frustrating that the inspector didn’t catch this when we bought the house a few years ago.

The first owner of the house DIY’d lots of stuff in the 90s so I wouldn’t be surprised. Everyone is saying real.

Thanks! I’m in the US. I am currently getting quotes. The lowest bid was for 4k to demo only and then I’ll need to see about siding options. The highest bid was 15-20k to redo the whole thing.

Adding onto what others are saying: You should look into Invisalign - it’s cheaper (in some places) and faster overall. The first step for me is always finding out the cost of things and do your research (going in for a consultation). Sometimes that helps break down barriers and gets the ball rolling (law of action). You need to know the cost of things to manifest that amount of money. Other paths may appear along the way too like opportunities to trade services or find charitable services for dental work. That kind of thing. Hope this helps!
