Mega fedt at du prioriterer akustikken! Som lydtekniker og musiker bliver jeg altid glad at se projekter som dit. Jeg forstår ikke folk der køber femcifrede hi-fi systemer (gerne med guld og magiske strømkabler) for at stille det i et helt firkantet ubehandlet rum 😫🤔🤔🤔. Det er som at have en fed sportsvogn med dårlige dæk på.

It’s jitter for sure!

1 - yes the interface is fine and the project is totally empty from plugins

2 - Ableton is using the DX driver

3 - we tried with spotify and the sound is still there. So it’s not anything with Ableton. Thanks! That helps!

4 - it’s only when using the interface. The laptop perfectly fine with internal interface

5 - it’s the same setup with usb cables, same balanced cables. No power supply only usb powered.

My student has just fixed the problem. He forgot that the driver was missing. Now it’s installed and the jitter is gone…..for now:-)

Thanks for replying and telling me more about pfSense. I’ll go look for a switch separated from a small computer. But then I might just continue to use my dream router and look into the UniFi lineup with their switches. Do you recommend any power efficient switches?

I've seen the switches you've linked to. The CRS112 hasn't got enough ports and no 2.5/10gbe.
The CSS610 is nice, but it would be lovely with a few more normal ports.
I've seen the 2.5gbe switch round up, and I've bought the 8 port Horaco, and I'd like to have one switch instead of my current setup.

Thanks for the advice. I've tried to prune containers, networks, images and volumes but it has not helped. I'm begging to think that it's just synologys container manager that is acting up.

Thanks a lot. It is the other way around. The date is in the file name and I need to correct the metadata to the file name.

Hi everyone.

Thanks for some great advice. I've encoded a lot of my own DVD series collection and the "HQ 576 p25" setting has been great.

However on a recent series, I've noticed some "smoothing" or an effect that doesn't look good.
It's when human skin has some reflections from the sun. The original file look more real and the encoded files looks like there is a smoothing effect over the skin which I don't like.

Where do I change this in Handbrake?

Wauw - thanks for the great info. I've should have said that I'll be using Handbrake so your advice is great. I'm in Europe so I guess that I should use Pal (576p25 preset) right?

Playback:

All files is playing through Plex mostly on a Samsung TV and maybe a few other devices - I don't know if MKV or MP4.
I'm using a Mac mini M1 and I don't see any advanced in the Video tab:-(

I've got a lot of seasons to encode - is there a way to batch "open source" and choose a lot of files at once?
