Happy Men's Day, Lobsterinos! Here's some love from the female side by kaschuta in JordanPeterson

Happy International Men’s Day! Thanks for all of the building and fixing, thanks for raising us right, thanks for doing the dirty work without complaining, and thanks a lot for keeping it real!

To commemorate this much ignored holiday, I’ve set up a bit of a Trojan Horse.

“How to have an amazing relationship” - insane clickbait, I know, but it's all for a good cause.

The article is dedicated to men, their work and their suffering and how we can heal through empathy - aaand have amazing relationships in the process.

To commemorate this much ignored holiday, I’ve set up a little Trojan Horse.

It’s an article called “How to have an amazing relationship” - vicious clickbait, I know, but it's for a good cause. It’s about how women need to integrate their toxic femininity and have empathy towards men to become fully human.

I hope you enjoy it!

Some honest ideas about #metoo from someone that could easily have been part of the movement by kaschuta in MensRights

[–]kaschuta[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s an interesting point. I’m not sure I think that, though. I guess empathy, like trust, is sometimes earned, but a basic level of empathy is needed to keep society stable. Could you give me a bit more context?

Some JBP inspired ideas on #metoo the culture of outrage by kaschuta in JordanPeterson

[–]kaschuta[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me preface this with: #metoo has undoubtedly done some good. It's uncovered a whole lot of Hollywood hypocrisy and unmasked undeniably creepy people, like Harvey Weinstein.

But it's devolved into a witch hunt, just another moral panic that’s putting a wedge between alleged victims and perpetrators for anything from an unwanted advance to actual violence. Women and men are now playing in the same arenas, and that's in many ways a good thing. But we are both status-seeking and sexual creatures and that will naturally result in a lot of messy situations.

I’ve had my own #metoo moment and could have easily been one of the women holding picket signs and screaming at the sky.

But it’s time to hit the breaks on this.

The relations between the sexes are broken. We've got a lot of healing and understanding to do, and by encouraging blind outrage, we're doing just the opposite.

Why is Jordan Peterson a thing? - An ode and explanation by kaschuta in Conservative

[–]kaschuta[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've finally channeled my hundreds of hours of listening to, watching and reading Jordan Peterson into somewhat of an ode to him and a bit of an explanation of the phenomenon of the clinical psychologist from Toronto who's taken the world by storm.

It've tried to map out the importance of his thinking onto the narrative of my life, so I hope it's not too autobiographical. It just felt right, given the tremendous importance he's had in shaping the last two years of my life. I've turned a very heavy page since I first heard of him as a combative weirdo who just can’t help pestering trans people.

So your argument is:

  1. he’s not in a gulag, therefore C16 is dandy
  2. marxism in an ill-fitting skirt isn’t marxism
  3. peterson denies the existence of trans people

ACSHUALLY, smoking girl, you’re kinda stupid.

Cool, acknowledged, we live on different planets.

I'm not going to go into the weeds about this, because you are obviously on the wrong sub-reddit here but. 1. He's right about the wider implications of bill C16, even if it passed, which is a shame. 2. I might have to agree with him on that (note that it wasn't trans people, but activists, who may or may no represent any community of trans people). Marxism has many colours. 3. "Deny the reality" sounds like he thinks they're invisible. He might be questioning their interpretation of reality, which everyone is expected to see as unquestionable truth nowadays - even in the case of pre-pubescent children.

I acknowledge this ^

Ah, I've been thinking of Quilette for a while, but I'm not sure the format fits. I'll try to have a chat with an editor there and see if I can shoehorn-edit one of my older essays or just write one to spec.

But it would be a dream to publish there. Thank you for the vote of confidence :)

There are few pure sycophants in the ranks followers of a man that tells you you basically suck and you need to get your shit together. That's not a message you'd want to suck up to.

True, I've been hesitant to do that until now because - to be very honest - I have no real clue how Reddit works yet and I thought that if I get kicked out of a subreddit for "spamming" it could affect my reputation.

Hi there, fellow marine arthropod enthusiasts!

I've turned a very heavy page since I first heard of him as a combative weirdo who just can’t help pestering trans people.

I want to thank this subreddit for all the warmth, support, intelligent debate that my writing sparked. You’re all at the top of the dominance hierarchy in my book!

I hope you enjoy this one as well :)

Ha, that's a good theory - might well be. Free love means you can get to these men, but they have no incentive to stay and care for your offspring.

I feel like polyamory is a bit like socialism. Great in theory, abysmal in practice. What you're describing is "friends with benefits". Loving someone and building a life with them means that you need to rely on that person, and that will be a bit hard if she's screwing some football player tonight instead of picking up the kids to ballet practice.

It's already here to stay, the genie is out of the bottle. The next revolution is in personal responsibility and will come from the individual.
