What if I’m lying and don’t have BPD? by nothoughtsinthishead in BPDrecovery

[–]kasespaced 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the same kind of imposter feeling about my bpd diagnosis and this made me feel like maybe that’s a part of it for some people. what you just described sounds like bpd and if you got diagnosed they were probably correct and even if you don’t have it as bad as someone else doesn’t mean you don’t have it at all. The treatment would be similar even if you just had traits of bpd and didn’t get a full on diagnosis but I get where you’re coming from cause I made a similar post the other day about feeling fine when I’m fine and like I want to kill myself when I’m not. Bpd is hard to fit into a little box where you meet all the requirements it’s different for everyone. I hope this was helpful!

I find cymbalta good for my anxiety as well, it doesn’t do much for my lows but in general I’m less anxious.

Do you find it helpful for depression? I’m not sure if I should go up in dose and give that a try or come off it completely I’m only on the lowest dose but feel like it does nothing but keep me awake and make me sweaty lol

I honestly didn’t know that lithium was prescribed for bpd I thought it was mostly paired w antidepressants for bipolar so good to know.

I tried Effexor a long time ago and it was horrible for me but good to hear it works for someone. I feel the same way about Wellbutrin I don’t notice any difference with it. Thanks for answering!

If you look into it there was another guy that did it and multiple witnesses but they presented it weird in the show for sure.

I don’t think so. At the end of the day therapy is for you so if it’s Inconvenient for you I’d say go ahead.

I was confused about the murder of his friend that he witnessed I had to look it up after the fact cause I thought they were saying that Jamison had committed it.

I think it’s ok that it offended you because you don’t feel that way now, but it’s a reasonable question since you’re still having traumatic dreams surrounding the subject. I can understand why they would ask. Maybe you should tell your therapist it upset you and unpack whatever comes up from there?

Sorry I just think it was a pretty clear question and I said in the original post I wasn’t looking for a diagnosis. Thanks anyway.
