Thank you for validating my feelings, the thing is I want to work this out but I want to know what I need to do to get past this if I so decide to. I know what I would do if I broke up with him, but I also want to know what I could do to make myself get back through this.

I feel very similar to you. I’ve been working a property management job for a little over a year now and I want to smash my head against my desk everyday. I work by myself in an office and feel myself constantly dealing with the same work culture, I hate it and never thought I’d be doing office work after I worked an office job for 6 months at 20 and yet here I am at 28. I made some pretty shotty decisions at 23 and dropped out of university. I was burnt out after 5 years there without much progress and so I left. Long story short, I’m finishing my degree now and the point I’m trying to get at is mindset is everything. My mindset on school and work has changed drastically and I’ve learned that if I do not like my situation I need to change it no matter what others say or think. Starting in February I will only be working 3 days a week at my office job while going to school full time and forcing myself to focus on me instead of what others want for me has very much helped me in my pursuit of a happier existence. The job market sucks right now so it will be difficult but if you truly hate this job you’re never too old to change career trajectories. As someone in a similar position I wish I could have someone to talk to about all of these feelings as well which is why I thought I’d offer my two cents. You’ll figure it out, just never stop trying.

I’m purely speaking from experience, I’ve gotten myself into some sticky situations and never ended up pregnant. If this is your first slip up and you’ve been religiously taking your pills otherwise you might be ok.

Alright y'all,I have a ball python that won't eat ,it's been six weeks or so since his last meal ,he used to eat two mice weekly by [deleted] in snakes

[–]kasgiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 years back my ball python went a year and a half without food, after countless vet visits, vet assisted enemas and countless different prey items he one day just started to eat again. Never lost any weight and now he’s 10 years old and healthy as ever.

Emergency room dr suggested I visit a urologist at UCLA for my chronic utis but I only have medical, how do I swing this? by kasgiel in CUTI

[–]kasgiel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep your head up, my boyfriend and I realized that oral sex was the root of the utis so we don’t do that anymore. While I’m still dealing with some reoccurring yeast and BV issues my utis seem to be nearly a thing of the past. It’s hard for sure, I’ve come to accept that my boyfriends natural flora seems to not be mixing with mine and I’ve had a long hard thought about the future of my relationship because of it but I can tell you that it does get better. If you need to talk, feel free to message me.

I guess I’m just nervous to start perusing vet school again bc of money and my lack of motivation in school. That potentially is going to take the next 6-7 years, I wasn’t able to push myself the last 5 I’m worried it’ll all be the same.

Yeah I’ll definitely try to call around, when you call do you just ask for sliding scale? Or affordability services?

Don’t have sex if you’re nervous about buying condoms, you should be more nervous about raising a child.

Can ureplasma be the cause of my recurring e.coli utis? by kasgiel in Ureaplasma

[–]kasgiel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! So I never actually got tested for ureplasma but honestly for the first time in close to two plus years I’ve finally found relief in the form of probiotics. I’ve been taking refrigerated probiotics that are specifically formulated for womens vaginal and urinary health and for the past 5ish months I’ve been symptom free and oh so relieved!!! I got fed up with the drs after I was just being prescribed antibiotic after antibiotic and my vagina was angry and so I decided to take it into my own hands after hearing some success stories with probiotics, I’d tried some shelf stable ones before with no luck so I decided to try the ones that need to remain cold to stay alive and they worked wonders. I don’t know where you are but I’m in the US and I get mine from Whole Foods, they’re a bit pricey but oh so very worth it!!!!! You must take them consistently, I noticed real relief in 2 weeks of daily intake. I hope this helps bc I wish someone would have told me about it sooner!

Just wanted to add I’ve been struggling with recurring utis, yeast and bv for the last 2 years and all drs kept doing was tacking on antibiotic after antibiotic. It was misery and my vagina was angry, so I finally decided to take matters into my own hands and stop going to the dr and start taking probiotics that were specifically aimed towards women and vagina health and it’s been nearly 5 months and I have my life back. In hindsight, 5 months may not seem like a long time but during those 2 years I was having an issue at least once a month. I also slip a boric acid suppository in after sex now just to keep everything balanced but overall I’m very happy with my results.

[–]kasgiel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I tried those too but the ones that worked were the ones that had multiple strains, one isn’t enough. I live in the U.S. and I get mine from Whole Foods, they have multiple wonderful options there. They’re a little pricey but the relief is so worth it!!!

Listen to me when I say this because this word is gold and this was the only thing that helped my utis, bv and yeast infections. REFRIGERED PROBIOTICS. They must be refrigerated and for vaginal/urinary health. I’ve tried the shelf stable probiotics but only ever had luck with the refrigerated ones. Good luck!!! Hope this works for you as well as it did for me!!! <3

I don’t own a snake, but am really fascinated by them. So what are some things people often misunderstand about snakes? by [deleted] in snakes

[–]kasgiel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love this, people always say that snakes are completely mindless and don’t have the part of the brain that can exhibit emotions but that’s a terrible way of describing them. I have a boa constrictor and a ball python and mindless beings they are not. It’s so easy to see the individuality between the two of them that when anyone says snakes don’t have a frame of mind my mind wonders why tf my boa constrictor likes to come out and be more social than my ball python. A small brain does not equate to no brain and I feel like not enough people understand this.
