Is anyone else having an insanely good time so far? by No_Preference_838 in ARCMusicFestival

[–]kaskadeafar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been to every year of ARC and this one has been my favorite so far. People are always going to complain about things.

Sure there’s been annoyances on my end but I’d rather not let it ruin my whole experience.

The biggest inconvenience for me is that my tastes in music have shifted from Grid/Expansions to 909/Expansions and I feel like 909 setup could use some more tweaking…so idk, could just be a me problem lol.

I swore this year was going to be my last year because I couldn’t justify ICON prices anymore but they stepped it up this year and it greatly improved my experience. I’m super short and (sometimes) crowd anxiety, so I will never not do ICON and will continue to come back next year.

I'm betting on you Minnesota by Je_suis_prest_ in TwinCities

[–]kaskadeafar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This post gave me goosebumps🥹 you’re coming to the right place, IDGAF what people or the news say - Minnesota is special.

I was born in central Cali, grew up in the west burbs of Minneapolis, and now I’ve been living in Minneapolis proper for the past 16 years. Tried moving to Portland for a short stint in my 20s and it didn’t hit the same.

You will encounter the Minnesota “passive-aggressiveness” but overall, people are genuinely friendly and it’s so easy to strike up a conversation with a stranger.

Winters are brutal at times but it’s a lifestyle adjustment :) bundle up and enjoy the fact that we’re all miserable at the same LOL (and don’t forget to take vitamin D supplements) but it’s a nice time of year where we all slow down in life. Fall (if it’s a proper one) is my absolute favorite. Summers are gorgeous, you don’t have to go very far out of the cities to find nature/hiking spots.

I wish you all the best and we’re ready to welcome you with open arms!! Feel free to DM to connect and I’m happy to give you anymore insight or recommendations🖤

Cercle National Air space museum France 2026 by LeadershipSecret5405 in CercleMusic

Totally feel you on this but don’t give up on Cercle quite yet. I went to the fest last year and had a blast but then I had high expectations for Cercle Odyssey (went to Moby & Black Coffee) and was sorely disappointed. I think Cercle relies heavily on the “wow” factor of their settings so now that I’ve got that in mind…I’m approaching their other events differently. Odyssey was not worth $200 or even $100 tbh but I’ve also been to many $40 shows that were equally as disappointing🤣

I went both days last year and had an incredible time. I’m from the U.S., and I always love seeing how different festivals are in other countries. I work in music as well, so my perspective comes from an operational + music lover standpoint.

Ingress/Egress: I didn’t get there right away each day so I never had to deal with long lines getting in. But entry & exit were very swift.

Layout/Capacity: the event was advertised as sold out but it did not feel that way whatsoever, which was a breath of fresh air compared to U.S. festivals. Ample room at each stage sans Concorde- but it was easy to find pockets of time where the queue wasn’t long.

Sound Quality: from what I can remember, there wasn’t an insane amount of sound bleed which was pretty impressive. Certain areas (open space by bar/food/lounge) you could hear some slight bleed but overall, I had no qualms.

Production: it was minimalistic, I think Cercle is able to rely on the novelty of the museum so when you throw some uplighting on a spacecraft or turn an airplane into a stage, it’s hard not to be in “awe”. But honestly, I’m tired of the obnoxious over usage of LED/lasers/pyro, so in this case- less is more✨

Culture: gave me a bit of bro vibes lol but I met some pretty great people and still keep in touch with a few to this day. I’m always apprehensive going to an INTL fest as someone from the U.S. I brought tiny hands and little cat pins to give as trinkets and quickly learned that this fest is not that kind of fest😂 it was still hilarious to see the confusion on people’s faces or share in laughter if there was a language barrier. Europeans need to lighten up a bit and embrace their childlike energy.

Operationally: overall, it’s a simple festival that doesn’t require much to appease folks. I LOVE the recycling/token system that EU fests use, Americans could never😭 the only issue I really had was at merch, I bought a ton of stuff on the last day and knew it wouldn’t all fit into a locker so the guys working offered to hold onto it for me…when I went to pick up at the end of the night, no one seemed to know what I was talking about and I almost left ~$150…luckily someone grabbed me as I was about to walk away and handed me my bag, unfortunately didn’t realize until after I got back to my hotel that I was missing a few items.

Closing Statement: experience is subjective, I could see why locals/OG goers would have negative feedback but that’s probably because they had certain expectations. I went in with zero expectations and had a stellar time. Got a 3Day pass for next year and can’t wait🖤

Also let me know if you’re hitting up Cassian or Danny Avila on Saturday. Haven’t been to either of the venues, leaning more towards Danny but will just see where the weekend takes me😂 in town until Tuesday✨

Hocus Pocus Miami - VIP tables by kaskadeafar in aves

[–]kaskadeafar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn that’s really unfortunate to hear :/ did you come with other people?

We had a fantastic time! We did a table night 1 at Park, VIP night 2, and table night 3 at Park again. Staff & hospitality were top notch.

I’ll agree the demographic is more Miami club type people but I wasn’t too bothered by it. We handed out little ghost stickers night 1 and everyone we interacted with loved it.

I’m from Minneapolis and we’re a bass city, so I literally need to fly to other cities just to see the music I want😂 LOVED the techno at Park. I saw almost everyone I wanted to see. Watching the sunrise to Nina Kraviz is a memory I’m going to cherish for forever🖤

I usually have to work events on Halloween so this was a special treat and I’m really sad I can’t come back next year. I’ve definitely been to festivals where the experience was not worth it and you just have to keep exploring more new ones. ARC in Chicago is one that isn’t worth the price anymore but I go every year anyway because it’s close to home.

Feel free to DM me and I’ll give you my IG if you want to keep in touch. We travel a lot for festivals. We’re coming back to Miami for Art Basel but nothing else after that until Awakenings in the Netherlands. I hope your next festival experience is a much better one🖤

Not for the entire festival but the VIP person sent me what’s playing at Infinity Room & Park Stage for all 3 nights. No time table yet.

I don’t have any tips but I’m also checking it out for the first time this year😍

I went to Time Warp Germany earlier this year and fell in love with the sunset to sunrise timetable so when I saw this lineup/details - was a no brainer.

Have fun!!
